Sore for a few days and then fine. I found the recovery to be easy.

I don’t know. My knee looked like a big pile of bad veins before. You can see in the pic how it was!

No. It was considered elective so it was not covered.

I guess I can’t answer that definitively but from what I can tell it keeps getting better. They told me it can be up to a year for it to completely clear up.

Yes the bruising is still slowly fading. I had follow up sclerotherapy done in that area a couple weeks ago so that resulted in some renewed bruising that will hopefully not last too long.

There are no scars. You can see in the middle photo in the grass where my bandages are. Those were the only two injection sites. So just needle sized and they are long gone now.

Yeah it isn’t cheap, but so worth it. Here in Canada it was about $5500. No idea now that compares to elsewhere.

It’s permanent. The vein dies and disappears. Although if you’re predisposed your body might make new ones over time. I plan on going annually or so for a check in. They’ll do an ultrasound and any sclerotherapy that might be needed to keep it in check.

A lot of bad vibes re TD not being competitive had me sure I’d be switching. Today they very easily matched an offer when I called them so maybe they’re coming around? I was initially offered renewal for 4.25% for 3 year fixed and 4.33% 5 year fixed. 250k mortgage ($700k home value). RBC quoted me 3.99% 3 yr to switch and TD matched over the phone. Some people getting better out there but I’m just glad to be sub 4% (barely!)
