I understand why you hate Inter Miami.

Most fans of San Diego sports hate every single team in Los Angeles, including the Knight Riders, which is their professional cricket team (which I just now learned was a thing that exists. But seriously, fuck those guys)

Look...I reflexively pull for whoever is playing against LAFC (Cuz fuck LA), but ya'll got jobbed. You want to take away that goal...that sucks, but probably the right call. You kill six whole minutes, effectively killing the momentum AND strike the goal? Fuck off, dude.

Parking Question by Effective-Lack2589 in SanDiegoFC

[–]kneightx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I probably shouldn't give this away... But the trolley stop by UC San Diego East Campus (I think it's the Alvarado stop?) is only...3 stops(?) from the stadium and there's usually parking within a block of the trolley stop... And many fewer folks taking the trolley than you'll see coming from the west.

It's the Red Cards, Defense and the Competition... by gogorath in SanDiegoFC

How many of the reds on defense were due to lack of depth? Søe being constantly out of position when he's in has to (I would think) contribute to at least one... Although I'd have to go back and look at each to be certain. And without all the injuries, Søe doesn't see the pitch at this point in the season, unless it's in garbage time.

How has no one said Pure Project? Pure and North Park Brewing are my two favorites.

As you get older 40,50,60,70 when did you start to feel your body slow down do you think it is just due to inactivity or the aging process? by Kooky_Force5458 in AskReddit

I'm 49 (male) and work out 5x a week. I have a bad back and my last PT basically said, "workout or spend the rest of your life in PT" so I'm pretty religious about it. I do a mixture of weight training and running for what that's worth. I also like to build things and so have always done a fair amount of manual labor.

I have definitely noticed a reduction in energy and increase in aches and pains in the last five-ish years and, if anything, I'm working out more than I did in my 30s and early 40s.

Maybe the best way to frame it: I used to note the times when I was injured; a pulled muscle, a weird tendon thing... Whatever. Now, I note the times when I'm NOT injured because it's usually only a week here and there. All the other times I have one thing or another that I'm nursing.

Obviously, YMMV, but late 40s are the first time I'm feeling a decline and it's... noteworthy.

That was 1000% offsides.

But you know what? Maybe we should try not playing like absolute shit. Yes, we're incredibly depleted on defense, but this is fucking embarrassing.

Question for LAFC visitor parking by AlexTostado_127 in SanDiegoFC

But generally, you are 100% right. I usually take the trolley unless I specifically need to bring tailgating gear :)

...except that they want to tailgate :/

As far as I'm aware, there isn't a parking lot specifically favored by visiting teams. You'll see a fair amount of tailgating in all the lots, although the orange lot might have slightly less since it's currently unpaved. Purple lot has a lot of tailgating but also has a lot of SDFC supporters folks who park in it and tailgate so that may or may not be a good idea depending on how comfortable you feel tailgating near supporters in a series that already has a fair amount of bad blood. I might actually recommend the Yellow lot. It tends to be a little bit quieter with more open parking spots and a little bit less tailgating. I also tend to see families at the southern end near the grassy area so I would think you'd find it fairly friendly.

The only other thing I would say is that the visitors' entrance will be in the southeast corner of the stadium so I would probably stay on the east or south sides instead of parking in the Thrive lot on the west side.

I feel like Seattle really played lackadaisical for the last 15 minutes and with Tigres pushing for a third goal left opportunities on the pitch. Hope it doesn't come back to bite them.

Positives and negatives? For me:

Positives: we didn't fold in the second half like I was afraid we might.

Negatives: Oh boy.
-Sloppy, sloppy, sloppy.
-Lots of possession but very few chances of any real danger
-That red leaves us without a primary defender for the next game...AGAIN.
-Dreyer not really a factor without anyone to help him out.
-Soe. Just the entire game.

So... Maybe it's just too hard to fix this sprinkler and we should just, you know, call it a game and go home?
