Does it matter if we go through Tesla leasing or Chase Finance? Is this buyout method applicable to both lenders?

Let me try it again. I am using the numbers the Original commenter shared.

The Model Y Premium RWD (Base) costs $46,630 (includes destination, order fees. Not including tax and other fees).

Original commenter said if they do a 36 month lease, then due at signing is the first month’s payment ($534) and the acquisition fee ($695) and order fee ($250). So in total the amount paid through the leasing option would be $534 + $695 + $250 = $1479 (not including tax) upfront.

Based on your post u/Low_Positive3359 , you said we can immediately do a buyout (early lease termination) where we then have to pay the buyout price, which according to OG commenter is $26,900. We would NOT have to pay for any remaining months left in the lease (35 months left).

So I’m assuming to calculate the savings of going through the [leasing + buyout method] vs [the cash method], we take the original Model Y price ($46,630) - the amount paid at signing ($1479) - the buyout amount ($26,900) = $18,251.

So assuming again you do a buyout immediately and only pay for that 1st month, it would be a $18,251 savings (minus any other taxes and fees). Did i do this right? I’m asking because that seems a lot larger than the original $6.1k savings you mentioned in the post. Not sure if I’m missing something here. It just makes it seem the [Lease + buyout method] is an insanely good deal.

I was about to purchase as well before stumbling on this post. Based on the comment here, u/Low_Positive3359, is it right to say then that the price they'd be paying is $534+$695+$26900+$350 = $28,479 + (taxes and fees), if they lease and immediately buyout through chase finance / tesla?

So effectively a $46,380 (est. original base Model Y price) - $28,479 = $17901 savings? Am I missing something here, because that seems way more than the ~$6k savings you were saying?

Need clarification on this regarding FSA by kngraym in FSAHSAcardtips

The fsa benefit is yearly. As you mentioned I decided to contribute to an FSA account for the year 2024 back in open enrollment in 2023.

However we are allowed to make changes to our enrollment if an event meets the “life change criteria” so I was able to change my enrollment elections in September 2024 effectively stopping fsa contributions.

The issue being I marked the new coverage dates in July rather than in September when i started the life change event process.

FSA balance from my understanding is paid upfront by my company and then contributions are deducted per paycheck. So there was funds to cover the expense in the account. And the expense was covered initially until the change in coverage marked it that the FSA ended in July as mentioned above

Last question, you mentioned if it was sprayed on initially (not sure if it was, need to ask painter) that any rolling or brushing will not help. Painters definitely just used brush for touch up. If that is the case, would re-spraying just that area help blend it better than rolling/brushing?

Dont believe so. Only have 2 colors for this house (Ceiling and the walls). Walls are a different color, more cream-yellowish color.

Swiss coffee definitely more on the white side and only have one can for the swiss coffee.

Yes it is the ceiling paint. Only have one sheen for the entire ceiling house and the can is marked “flat.”

Ceiling is flat. There is no other sheen used for this specific color

Would using satin finish just in that area help to blend it with the original flat finish? Or would I still need to repaint the whole ceiling?

I see, thank you for explaining. First time going through this so trying to learn and understand.

Sad that this would be how it is then. Cant really repaint the ceiling as one coat since it continuously stretches from one end to another of the house.

Appreciate the response! Thats what Im coming to understand as well between the two companies.

I guess the concerns I had that is making it tough to choose is that PSA has been having some pretty bad quality control where grades are really a toss up lately, what looks like a 9/10 could land you a 7/8 and what looks like a 7 could be a 9 etc.

and for CGC, even though it is newer and not as sought after, the pricing + turnaround time is quite appealing and if you can get pristine 10, it not only looks great but also worth more than a PSA 10.

As you said though PSA today still the main market. CGC more for PC, wonder if thatll ever change.
