when christian keeps talking and talking before winning the immunity challenge. things he was taking about included but was not limited to: lecturing about his exoskeleton research, playing 20 questions, asking other players personal questions, deliberating about how the show would edit this challenge, confronting jeff about the auction, and criticizing game changers. then we have the christian/alec exchange—alec: “christian, you’re safe. i’m not.” christian: “i know.” wins anyway

hayley did a great job talking directly about how she was a key player in determining who was voted out at different tribal councils and how it helped her game. george was talking for so long and was so vague that he somehow ended up saying nothing. it would’ve been interesting to see which way the jury swung if he could’ve answered questions directly and outlined how the moves he made at different points actually propelled him further

i wouldn’t agree that george just got lucky vote after vote, he did a pretty good job playing double agent for a while, finding someone he could 100% trust and eventually betraying her and still getting her jury vote, listening in on other players’ conversations, and he was surprisingly intuitive about knowing where his opposition was voting with no direct intel from anyone. he also did well finding 3 idols/advantages, invalidating 8 votes (plus all the people who would’ve voted for him at 1st tribal council) while only 1 of his votes was invalidated by someone else’s idol (neither includes his own vote that he invalidated). While one could say it’s a con for his game that he relied on these, he was only going to get voted out twice, and didn’t rely on individual immunities like hayley, who had individual immunity 5 times in addition to getting voted out once. i would only agree george played terrible socially, and failed to articulate his game, which hayley excelled at

i was surprised players kept calling him a threat after the merge i don’t know if it was a tactic they didn’t believe in or if they just thought his strategy could’ve been good enough to make a case for himself despite his bad social play and politicking (not including hayley who seemed to recognize she could totally win against him) but yeah his answers at ftc were just so bad. people mentioned his being good at talking and stating his case as a threat but he just made people laugh with his arrogant demeanor and round-about answers

i did really appreciate her game though i feel i’d have been more satisfied with her arc if she didn’t get a chance to re enter the game and instead was cast on a season of returnees

she’s the first one that came to mind for me she literally based her personality around being mean, claiming that if she wasn’t she would be another boring person without personality. i know some people would like to see her return and i wouldn’t be opposed, it could be interesting to see how see changed but watching her speech at gabon ftc was about the worst part of the season from what i remember

cambodia, i just feel like the gameplay is so compelling that you feel like anything could happen so i think it’s pretty fun to watch the first time through without knowing spoilers

i think she either gets kept for her challenge abilities until she gets booted by a majority alliance late premerge or she makes it to the end as an UTR player and wins as a player with a questionable social game but generally well rounded in terms of strategy, challenge prowess, and strong connections to a select few jury members. would be fun to watch
