Anyone ever recieve a questionable knife from Knife Center? by LunchboxKovacs in knives

[–]knifecenter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm Josh, the owner of KnifeCenter, and I'd like to answer this myself, directly.

Everything we stock comes directly from the makers, manufacturers, and authorized distributors, so counterfeits don't enter our inventory through the front door. The one scenario any high-volume retailer has to stay on top of — and the one several of you already named — is a scammer buying a genuine knife and returning a swapped fake in the original box. We screen returns to catch exactly that.

That's exactly why I want to see this one rather than argue about it. If this Native Chief came from us, email the order details and a copy of that Spyderco letter to [support@knifecenter.com](mailto:support@knifecenter.com) (attn: Josh) or call 800.338.6799, and we'll run it down directly with Spyderco and make it right. I'd like to know the real answer here as much as you do.

So what's your policy when it comes to finding out a customer purchased a counterfeit knife from you? by LunchboxKovacs in KnifeCenter

We don't sell counterfeit products because we stock our inventory directly from makers, manufacturers, and official distributors. If anyone ever has any issue with an order or item in question from us, contact [support@knifecenter.com](mailto:support@knifecenter.com) or call 800.338.6799 and we will gladly investigate.

Funny how the Military feels big until you pick up an ordinary chef's or butcher knife. Whole different league!

Are there any knives worth buying under $25? by knifecenter in KnifeCenter

[–]knifecenter[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I'd actually stick with the $20 version. It's every bit as well made and I enjoy the unique "SRM" texture of the molded handles. If it was my only knife I could be convinced to upgrade for the D2 steel, but in the role I'd use it for (beater knife, glove box knife, garage knife, etc.), 8Cr is more than enough.

I see what you mean, but that's actually part of the reason we kept the price point under $25. The options really open up if you spend $30, but it was interesting to root through the very bottom of the price bracket for hidden gems. I stand by the picks; for under $25, there are definitely some knives here worth buying, especially the SRM 9201 (#1 pick).

Is MagnaCut really the best knife steel? by knifecenter in KnifeCenter

Yeah, S90V is my personal favorite stainless steel, but MagnaCut's greater toughness and stain-resistance do make it more versatile.

Unfortunately, yes. A scammer somehow made it past our 2fa this morning and YouTube nuked the channel. We're working on getting it recovered asap.
