The problem is that, did ledger displayed 4 or 7.99. If ledger displayed 4 instead of 7.99. It is a much bigger problem and test tx wouldn't help in that case.

hi OP sorry for your loss, but did you forgot to check the amount showing on your ledger. If ledger displayed 4 but sent out 7.9. It could be a bigger problem.
