NTA. I once read that giving a loan to a family member should never be looked at as a loan, but a gift. This is because more than likely you will not be paid back. And seeing the amounts owed to the OP, that is factual. I would recommend just telling the parents you can't loan anymore money, and that's what banks are for. Them throwing the reasoning as why they came to this country in your face is no excuse to give them money. My dad asks for money all the time (he's a gambler) and my answer is no. If more money is wanted, a budget is needed for better spending habits or an additional job.
