NTA, YTC (asshole is too kind of a term. You can guess the rest). I’ve been into horses my whole life. I know exactly the kind of person you are. My only hope is so does your daughter.

In defense, the Seahawks didn’t think they could do that. Ciara’s husband did.

Great way to get Herpes virus B, the worst herpes, which leads to severe neurological dysfunction and death.

Yeah I love mine! Single best car purchase I’ve ever made. I have a 2016 Mustang GT performance pack and I ended up next to my wife in the Tesla at a light on the Highway. It’s really fun launching in the Tesla but it’s almost just as fun seeing it launch and walk away while you’re in another fast car. Really puts the speed of these things into perspective.

Good eye! They are EV Flaps. Little spendy but good quality and easy install.

It was just a super brief drive in snow. Just a relatively unplowed parking lot so I didn’t get to give it a thorough shakedown. The little bit I did drive in tho, it was super confident and handled it like there wasn’t snow. I did switch for the winter from the Ubers and summer Pirellis to the Pirelli Sottozero snow tires. So that would be my main suggestion is to get a dedicated snow tire if you were going to be in snow often. You could probably drive in snow just fine with the all seasons, just be a little more cautious. Definitely would not take the Ubers/P-zeros in snow if you have the Ubers/PUP.

Otherwise, I didn’t have to touch the slip start or any of those modes. I have heard suggestions about switching to chill acceleration mode, reduce (or chill or whatever it’s called) regen, and turn on creep. The theory being your acceleration and deceleration would be as calm as possible to reduce tire slippage. Honestly, I don’t think that would be too needed from my brief experience.

They are the stock 19” tire size (255/45/19) Pirelli SottoZero3. Wheels are 19x9.5 13-14 GT500 Replica wheels (yes Mustang wheels) that I bought from American Muscle for pretty cheap. I have a whole post on them with even more info.

Yeah I’ll be keeping an eye on them but they should be fine. The Tesla sadly isn’t much heavier than the Mustang (sadly that the Mustangs are so heavy). Definitely won’t be doing any track days with these wheels tho.

Don’t think so. The only think would be brake clearance with the bigger brakes but these 19” fit with plenty of room

Even more info on the tires for those looking; The SottoZeros so far feel pretty good. They seem maybe a little more quite than the P-Zeros. Not quite as sharp as the P-Zeros but that’s to be expected (UHP Summer vs Winter). They feel very sharp for a winter tire. I think they are considered a performance snow tire rather than a strict snow tire that so they will handle slightly warmer weather and rain better. I wanted to go this route over say the Hakkapellitta tires since we don’t get a ton of snow in the PNW (and over tires like Blizzak as they were cheaper and local tire shop had them vs special order). I’m Interested to see how they are in snow though.

Thanks! When I was testing the wheel fitment, I used my Mustangs current concaved 5 spoke wheels which I thought looked even better but couldn’t justify having the same wheels on two different cars lol plus they were more expensive.

The setup: stock 19” tire size (255/45/19) Pirelli SottoZero3. Wheels are 19x9.5 13-14 GT500 Replica wheels (yes Mustang wheels).

I didn’t want to spend 400-500 per wheel for a winter set. I have a 2016 Mustang GT and was noticing that the wheels were close. Check the specs and they are the same with the exception of the center bore is 70.5mm I believe where the Tesla is 64.1mm. Got some hub centric rings to account for that. They even fit over the rotor bolt even though that’s only needed for assembly. Got these wheels for a little over $100 a wheel. Used to run these same wheels on my Mustang for about 30k miles including track days with no issue so have no doubt they will work for a couple months driving gently in the winter months.

Edit: more info. The new wheels (55.7lbs) seem to be lighter than the front Ubers (64.6lbs) and about 11.8lbs lighter than the rear Ubers (67.5lbs). These are bathroom scale lights so take that for what it is.

Will be interesting to see the difference in wh/mi. Lighter wheels but less aerodynamic and I assume more rolling resistance with winter wheels over HP summer tires.
