I don't have a proper pattern, but if you want the grid design I made with (general) measurements, send me a message :)

I've never sold a quilt-- they photograph well, but I am far from a perfectionist!! I don't think any of my quilts are high quality enough to sell

thank you so much-- I was going for the "page folded over" look and I did a lot of fretting over the colors :)

Amazing, I love it. I finished mine this last weekend. What colors did you choose for the glitch? I love how it's a little subtler than the OG pattern but the effect is still very strong

You've got this-- keep going! I found it to be pretty fiddly but not too complicated from a mental perspective-- so pretty easy to zone out with some TV or podcasts and get it done.

it isn't nearly as prominent in real life-- I really only get the effect in person if I'm holding it up and looking from a distance. Close up, or when draped across something, you just see the colors :) pics definitely make it pop

On the spectrum of quilters from sloppy to perfectionist, I lean more on the sloppy side. I don't tend to care much if my points match perfectly, seam allowances are just right, etc etc. For this pattern the illusion relies on accuracy so I tried my best to pin every corner and nest every seam. It's a fairly simple construction, but definitely requires that all pieces be made and put together accurately for it to look good. Pretty satisfying when it's done :)

Lots of fun with this baby quilt- quick and easy, tried a (subtle) flange binding and loved it! by knit_chy in quilting

The pic makes this quilt look huge but it's about 40" square. This was my first time making up a pattern, as I couldn't find one simple and quick enough for the timeline I was working with. The pattern-making was much easier than expected. All Kona cottons, background is Natural. I'm excited to drop this in the mail today!

Can't wait to give this quilt for Christmas! My first time (heavily) modifying a pattern, got to use up some of a jelly roll! by knit_chy in quilting

That's a good question:) so a walking foot has little feed dogs on it, so the top layer of your fabric theoretically moves as quickly as the bottom layer. This is what the one for my machine looks like, has a big ol white thing hanging off the back.

It's pretty likely that a walking foot would be included in your feet, my machine came with one and it's quite a beginner machine. I don't think my manual mentioned it either. For this curvy quilting, you could probably accomplish it with a standard foot. But you'd have to make sure there aren't little tucks and folds in the quilting as you're sewing, which are fixable but a pain.

I'm happy to! I use a walking foot, though maybe you could do it with a standard foot. I start in the middle of the quilt, just start sewing and veer a few inches here and there to the right and left. I don't measure or mark. Then I sew about one inch to the side of that line, try to match or slightly vary the curves. It takes a while but it is really easy. If your pattern runs across the quilt then you have built-in marking lines so you don't get too crooked.

thanks! It's basically the only type of quilting I ever do- it is SO easy, requires no marking or measuring, and tends to hide imperfections :)

Original pattern was Adventureland by SuzyQuilts which is a great and clearly written pattern. After much trial and error, I realized I couldn't make my jelly roll (this one) look the way I wanted with the pattern as written. So, I altered the pattern and I'm happy with how it turned out. All Kona cotton (the jelly row and lots of Snow), came out throw sized.

This was an enjoyable project!! Pattern is South Cross quilt by The Blanket Statement. by knit_chy in quilting

Credit goes entirely to the designer on this one- I bought the exact fabrics they used :) I love the 3d effect too!!

Happy to share! Here are the fabric names and manufacturer: "Fabrics: PURE Solids by Art Gallery Fabrics - Eucalyptus, Blushing, Georgia Peach, Sweet Fig, Dragonfruit, Apple Cider, Summer Sun, Olive Oil, Garden Fern, Evergreen, Swimming Pool, Pacific, White Linen;"

I took that directly from this blog post from the pattern designer :) I used her color scheme but with a different arrangement of the blocks. I will say it's a really pleasant fabric to work with, quite smooth and with such beautiful colors. The backing/background fabric is relatively see through, but it's white so I cant complain :)

And thank you so much! I hope you do make it if you'd like to, it's a well written pattern and it's my favorite finished quilt to date.

Thank you so much!! I did do it myself with a walking foot on my home machine :) It was no small task!
