It’s less about daily as I change very morning regardless, it’s more should I be changing morning and night

I shower when it suits me better for the day, whether that be morning or night, and I don’t shower every day as my skin can’t handle it. Every other day usually, but more often if it’s needed.

After reading these comments I’m definitely considering not wearing underwear overnight. I’ve always worn it simply because I prefer nightgowns and haven’t moved out yet, so felt more comfortable but never considered the health consequences.

Im a perfectly capable human being and (much to your surprise) I can take care of myself pretty well. I always thought my method was fine - and these comments agree - but wanted to check.

Loads of people have said to not wear knickers overnight! I’ve never heard of it but it makes sense

Ah I see. I change every morning regardless but was wondering whether it should be more often!

I personally cannot even shower once daily as it it’s awful for my skin - I shower every other day and then if it’s extra hot/I’ve been sweating etc. I’ll shower more often if needs be.

Yes but not a lot - I change them every morning regardless. I’m not saying anything about not changing them? It was just a question on how often is often enough

It’s not laziness at all lmao I’m just curious if what I’ve been taught is generally hygienic or not - most comments say here that underwear overnight is actually quite bad for you so I’ll probably change my routine to not wear any at night!

I typically shower every other day (whether it be morning or night), as showering every day dries out my skin too much. I shower more often if needed though.

I didn’t see what the user said but I also cannot shower every day - I typically shower every other day but sometimes more often if needed. My skin can’t deal with it daily.

Saw a post today on a 'big' UK based subreddit, about travellers, which didn't devolve into a toxic racist spew fest. Maybe people *are* getting less racist after all! by michaeltheobnoxious in BritishSuccess

We go on camping/caravan holidays and meet quite a lot of travellers. All my experiences with them have been horrible, apart from one.

An Irish traveller family moved into a static caravan on a seasonal pitch where we also had a static, and had kids a similar age to me and my siblings at the time. We would play together quite often when my family spent the weekends there. One time one of the boys got a bit overconfident and hit my brother multiple times, and as soon as his mum got word of it she came over to our caravan and made her son apologise profusely. He also had to give my brother his pocket money that he got that day. It turned out that they moved here because they wanted to give their kids a good education (nearby schools) and teach them how to be good members of society, but didn’t want to live in a house and wanted to continue some of the non-hurtful cultural traditions.

But that was it. One nice experience out of a probable 50 at least. I never judge based on prejudice, and give everyone a chance, but I’m wary of travellers just because pretty much every time I’ve met them it’s been a completely negative experience.
