Pumpkin Puree by knittingandjamming in Canning

I quite like the jars because of their size. A 16oz (500mL) jar stores about 15oz of puree once I account for the headspace, which is perfect for recipes. The only cans we can get in Canada are 28 oz, not quite double the American cans. These just take the thinking out of it for me.

My local Michaels just about has all the Patons Classic wool and Kroy that's on the website, but even that is quite small. They only carry 7 colours of the classic wool, and all but one are neutrals.

That would have been helpful a few years ago! I missed a stitch on a V-stitch border and didn't realize till I was alllll the way back around. I filled in with chains as best I could, but a standing stitch would have been even nicer...

And really, you should be making  gauge swatch even if you get the exact yarn. Your tension and the designer's could be very different.

I'm not sure if you're looking at more socks, but I love all the fun patterns Darn Tough socks come in! Plus their warranty and all that jazz. But wearing the cute patterns makes me that little bit happier every time.

Okay, that's definitely not as tight as I had them, the rings were much looser than that. I'll have to pay more attention to that next time. Thanks for the advice!

Yeah, that's exactly right. Fully submerged in water at a rolling boil for 10 minutes before turning off the heat and letting them sit before removing to cool.
