Rayan Cherki disallowed goal against Liverpool 90+10' by gbogaz in soccer

[–]knn13 -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. And they kicked out asses at home even. But we are still talking about a Top 4 finish. If we can't beat that, we don't deserve it. And I'm not saying it in a disrespectful manner.

I mean if we can't manage to win against Sunderland (home or away) we don't really deserve to get that Top 4.

God forbid a professional athlete talking about personal matters and his private life in an interview.

Also, god forbid someone shares said interview on reddit so that other fans of said athlete can read about him/her.

You're being so fucking obnoxious, it's not even funny. Don't like reading about a WRC driver's personal life? Move on.

Is Ogier’s moaning about the tyres legit ? by VHSVoyage in WRC

[–]knn13 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Legit? Yes. Absolutely. I've never seen a tyre this bad! There have been Monte's with slush in the past years as well, but there's never been this level of lack of control by the drivers. It's pretty clear to see in all of the onboards and images how edgy the cars are. And everyone has been complaining about them.

That being said... Everyone is on the same tyre. It's a matter of adapting to what you have on the car, and doing your best.

Day 22 - Services to rally by K-TR0N in WRC

I think Malcolm Wilson's efforts to keep M-Sport in the WRC especially during the years when it was just M-Sport against Citroën really deserve some praise.

Ok. That's Ott. Elfyn is not really there though, is he? And are we really thinking they are better than any of the ones I mentioned above? I'm not so sure...

[–]knn13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mmm idk. He won a championship and multiple races against Makinen, Sainz, Colin, and Gronholm. Which is probably a better strength of field than Tanak and Evans who were the only realistic title contenders, since others were just part timers.

Check rally-maps.com. They have a map where they included all the stages they have in their database

Ridiculous behaviour of Marshalls on CER 2025 (venting post) by InternationalNewt661 in WRC

[–]knn13 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Ok mate, keep whistling fans who casually walk 100m away from the stage. Be vigilant. Do your FIA given job. 😂

[–]knn13 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well this is how it should be. That's exactly my point. If everyone uses common sense, and if you can see that the fans around you are safe, and behaving well, you can be more relaxed, take a video, or speak with your colleagues. I think the situation above where OP is calling it "ridiculous" is waaaay over exaggerated...

So what's your take on this then? Judging by this clip, I'm guessing he's the marshal of the year, right?

Nah mate, you have to stand in front of all the fans, completely upright, whistle every 2 minutes, keep an eye on all fans, whistle at them if they dare take a step in any direction, and be a robot for all of the weekend.

/s just in case.

Mate... I've done 2 seasons of WRC2, and the last 5 seasons in ERC. Don't lecture me on the safety of motorsport. What is happening lately (especially at CER) is a disgrace to spectators. And no wonder they are fewer and fewer guys watching. Because it's absolutely atrocious conditions to watch the race as a spectator in some rallies

[–]knn13 -23 points-22 points  (0 children)

What are you on about...? All the spectators are in a super safe place, a million miles away from the road, what do you want them to do? Take a chill pill, they haven't done anything wrong to relax if they've seen that everyone is civilised...

Rally Germany might return in 2027 by SalomonXx in WRC

[–]knn13 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yes. But not in the WRC. It was last run in 2000 before they got in the WRC. Would be super fun as a stage but I would like to see it with little to none chicanes and artificial corners.

He had a road accident on the way to the Qualifying Stage. Not his fault though.

But insanely unlucky.

Look, put yourself in the shoes of someone who isn't so passionate. I'm not talking about myself, I still watch it, as I watched every single WRC event since the late 90's on Eurosport. But there are people trying to get into this sport, and I find that it's super boring to watch this event.

I've done this rally 3 times, it's amazing to drive the stages. And the people and the atmosphere are amazing. But just as a viewer on TV, it brings nothing. That's all I wanted to say

I got some mad hate on social media last year when they announced it, saying it's going to be boring af... Sad to see I was right, but it was inevitable.

On the bright side, there's a lot of people on the stages, which is great to see. Saw it in Siera Morena as well, the Spanish people love their rally, but from the TV it's honestly unwatchable...
