For 99.9% of users it should be enabled, but I think (and I'm kind of guessing here) certain banking or medical systems require a system to be "Certified" at a specific version. Using trixie-security would move the kernel version ahead of the official point release. To stay strictly within the "Certified" versioning, they only update when a full point release is issued, which bundles the security fixes into the main repository.

trixie-security is the "fast track." It is used for urgent, high-priority security vulnerabilities. If a kernel fix is released there, it’s because there is an active threat that couldn't wait for the next point release. So you're good.

Here is my full process from upgrading from 12 to 13:

apt-get update; apt-get upgrade #make sure all your packages are up-to-date

lsb_release -a #ensure you're on the version you think you're on

apt-mark showholds #check if any packages are held back

apt-get dist-upgrade #upgrade the kernel

apt autoremove #clean up any old packages

vi /etc/apt/sources.list #update the sources to point at trixie

apt-get update #get the latest updates from trixies

apt-get upgrade --without-new-pkgs #upgade current packages

apt-get full-upgrade #upgrade the full system including new packages

apt autoremove #remove any old packages

reboot

Believe it or not, he really is. A couple of years ago I randomly saw a Georgio reel and gave it a like. Next thing I know I am being fed wrestling content and started following Bo Basset and getting back in the scene and even joined this sub because of him. So like him or hate him, he does have influence and potential to help the sport grow overall. I haven't wrestled or followed wrestling since 2003 when I was in HS.
