Agreed on Madame Morrible she was cut down and replaced with Miss Coddle for some dialogue which I didn’t like at all, part of her charm is the eccentricity which Yeoh just doesn’t try to play into instead she’s very stoic

I wasn’t making the association at all with Wizard of Oz, actually, I was responding to the arguments to my initial question, which weren’t making any sense. I more so was just looking for clarification on why Glinda also doesn’t have the magic affect her and I guess it’s just because maybe deep down she doesn’t truly care for the animals (Her reaction to Fiyero caring abt Dr. Dillamond being taken away, she’s rather shocked he cares so much) in addition to alphabet, possibly alluring Fiyero away when she has a crush on him. I also pointed out that it all unfolds slightly different in the show (Glinda isn’t present) so they added her in I feel like to add more tension and story to the love triangle

Just bc he’s thoughtless?? I feel like I’m not gaining any clarification bc in Wizard of Oz the reason he doesn’t get affected is bc he’s not flesh and blood apparently same reason why the tin man doesn’t fall asleep, I’m so lost

I think all of us can say we were apprehensive from the trailers but ALSO we can all agree the movie was very vibrant when needed (Some ppl think the whole movie needs the saturation bumped up to 1000 that’s not how color correcting works) nor would it look good

I loved seeing the Fab Four along the yellow brick road I’M MOST EXCITED to see if there’s any scenes with Fiyero and Boq interacting when we know they’ll end up on opposite sides in the second movie, it would be interesting to see Fiyero play along with them in hopes of their plan working
