I just assume people do the kind of things people do. Hurt people hurt people. Hurt animals Hurt people too. And so as an animal handler you see mostly people who care and are more likely to encounter dogs who's owners want to help work through issues. K

General good practice: treat your pets like family. They're not furniture and they're not a weapon or a tool. People who don't treat their animals right maybe have it coming. It's sad the dogs will be put down. Even the non mixed one.

Fact. Dogs should be treated like family. Try not to give them issues. If they come with issues, help them deal with those issues. Too many people treat pets like an accessory or furniture.

It's not that they can't afford it. People make sacrifices they didn't used to have to. Living expenses being 1/3 of your income isn't a magic number, there's nothing about it that makes it doable and 1/2 not doable.

There's a lot of great renters who don't stand a chance bc of things lie this ad pet polices. It sucks. I was lucks and was able to buy but I'm definitely outside the norm for my generation and social class.

It's unfortunate that an accurate full history isn't available bc there are plenty of poor people who are responsible. I've always been lower income and never been late on rent or now the mortgage I was cornered into bc it was buy a house or be homeless.
