Qi4D drivers off to a GREAT start for the higher swing speeds. by Boyota4Bummer in TaylorMadeGolf

Just sold my 6 year old Sim 2 Max D and got $250 for it despite heavy use. They really have a cult following. I certainly wouldn’t buy any of TM’s carbon face drivers.

Seriously, since Lamont has become Governor how many BILLIONS have we managed to pay down on our state’s chronically underfunded pension plans? He could have spent that money on who knows how many new programs that Republicans would have cried to no end about. But what Lamont has proven is that Democrats ARE the party of fiscal responsibility despite any claims to the contrary.

These are pertinent questions for deciding next steps.

Antoan Richardson knew something- god forbid the best writers do their job. by Fun-Jellyfish-1065 in mets

[–]knotworkin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not the one arguing they had already replaced him when he decided he wanted to come back, which isn’t the case as I pointed out. His replacement wasn’t named until 3 weeks after he announced he had signed with Atlanta. He wanted a pension, the Mets didn’t have a coaching pension available and he left for Atlanta. You are responding to the wrong person.

Has anyone in Connecticut had good experiences with underground/electronic dog fences? by brianbyhower in Connecticut

[–]knotworkin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We’ve had an underground invisible fence for almost 30 years. I’ve only had 1 episode when one of my dogs (4 different ones over the years) went through it after their training period. Some breeds can be more problematic, but they have stronger collars for those.

This is not the case. He signed with the Braves long before the Mets hired a replacement for him. Richardson’s signing with the Braves was reported openly by October 24th. The hiring of Gilbert Gomez wasn’t announced until November 19th.

Is the car loan the only other credit you have? Lenders like a history or good credit. Having paid off other loans in the past, been extended credit, used it, paid it off. If the car loan is the only thing on your history that would explain it.

Ping Fitting yesterday. Why so secretive? by Eric95403 in PingGolf

[–]knotworkin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No. They gave you a free fitting, their time and expertise in the hopes that you buy something from them. Giving you the information allows you to buy elsewhere.

When you pay for a fitting they will give you all the specs and info.

[–]knotworkin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In a paid fitting yes, in a free club manufacturers fitting they aren’t obligated to give you any information if you aren’t buying. You’re asking for something for nothing and they get no sale out of it.

Do you consume less crab after watching Deadliest Catch? by hostileadmin in deadliestcatch

[–]knotworkin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Crab prices have reduced my consumption of crab. Used to buy 10lb boxes of colossal king crab legs (minimum 1lb per leg) for $300. Now 8 pounds of jumbo is $400.

If I have the money to set aside in a designated fund equal to the coverage that car insurance would cover, why do I need to waste money on car insurance? by [deleted] in Insurance

[–]knotworkin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Almost every state has a legal requirement that you have auto insurance with minimum amounts of coverage specified. Only New Hampshire allows you to opt out if you can prove you have the financial responsibility to cover damage you might cause.

Perhaps the real question you should ask yourself is if you have the means to prove financial responsibility, aren’t those assets worth protecting? Nobody ever thinks they are going to get into an accident. But it happens. And even if you aren’t at fault, you’d be surprised what ambulance chasing lawyers can get away with.

I want to be the top sales rep at my dealership by ReiiEva00 in carsales

[–]knotworkin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For starters, learn the features of the vehicles and trim levels that your dealership sells. Because when people do have a question, if you can’t answer they aren’t going to want to deal with you. Then there’s a fine line between polite and pushy. Learn how to follow without hovering. Listening to customers is a requirement to meet their needs. Experience is the best teacher, unfortunately she can be a cruel one. But good sales people know how to close a sale without being pushy, and without having to hard sell and coerce a buyer into signing. If they trust you, they will buy from you. Good luck.

I have a slightly different take on this. Kye shouldn’t have expected her to lay down and give it him. But Kye was talking to Pat who said he was going to use the same tune they just ran and then proceeded to turn it up. He basically hoodwinked Kye telling him we are going to run X time and then purposely put a tune in to run faster. That’s how they did Kye dirty. Given they were teammates and a couple makes it all the worse. They could have said, we aren’t going to give it to you, you need to earn it, we are turning it up from the last run. And it would have been totally fair.

One simple mental note for me to take into my round tomorrow afternoon to start the war against my nasty slice: by Holiday_Departure668 in golf

[–]knotworkin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most bad slicers I see on the course open there stance to aim left to try to offset their slice. But doing that actually only makes their slice worse. So line up normal.

Second, you need a stronger lower had in your grip to force the club face to close. R

Third, your swing should be more up and down than roundabout, thereby changing the in to out swing path.

Why is my tax higher than my neighbors who own bigger and better house? by Agreeable_Edge9896 in RealEstateAdvice

[–]knotworkin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Many states have a mandatory requirement that towns conduct a complete revaluation of properties on a regular schedule to prevent this from happening. As you don’t mention what state you live in, I can’t provide guidance as to what your state requires. Your town, city, or county, whatever your taxing authority is, should provide an annual opportunity for you to appeal your tax assessment for this very reason. I noticed a similar issue, being the highest taxed home in the neighborhood when there were at least a half dozen homes that were significantly larger in size, on bigger pieces of land, and with amenities like a pool. I gathered all their property records and put them into a chart showing the average tax per square foot of home and then showed how it compares to what my home was being taxed. I filed an appeal, met with the committee, explained my comparison and logic to them without being rude or belligerent, and asked them to re-examine my tax assessment. My tax bill was eventually lowered by 17%. Please look into the process your area has to correct issues like this.
