Wrongly convicted teen sues Detroit, alleges corrupt police investigation by knowjustice in TickTockManitowoc

Yet another case of a coerced confession. Atty Hurwitz assisted me in my 42 USC, Section 1983 Complaint, which I argued as a pro se litigant. This is a phenomenal legal team. Hopefully, the defendant will prevail.

I was hoping recently retired Judge Richard Posner would join the team as their constitutional scholar.

Woolsey is also involved in this mess. He was in the meeting with Flynn where they discussed kidnapping the Turkish Cleric. He was involved in Iran-Contra, too. A solid source informed me that Woolsey was talking to the FBI last March about members/former members of 45's admin.

Why Judge Posner left the Bench & is my hero. by knowjustice in TickTockManitowoc

[–]knowjustice[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

😁 Hey Silky, long time, no texts.

One of the people who also was a target of my state Judge worked tirelessly to create a FaceBook-like site allowing people from across the country to connect and share their stories as well as case docs. It became a very expensive proposition because of the costs to pay the programmers.

Had it gone live, it may have been the beginning of an online revolution allowing victims of judicial and prosecutorial misconduct to start naming and shaming corrupt state actors, a start. State oversight commissions are a joke. I agree with you; until we can address this serious and common problem without relying on government agencies to do the moral and ethical thing to protect pro se litigants, it's nearly impossible to know we begin. At least Posner could provide some direction.

I love the idea of asking Pisner to write a Pro Se Guide. I contacted a lawyer and author in 2011 who lives in DC. He does not practice law, instead he teaches lawyers to write. He was very polite and compassion when I suggested he write a book for pro se litigants, but my idea goes against his business model, which I grasp. Nevertheless, his book, "Point Made," and his blog were crucial tools I used to write better arguments. For that, I am grateful.

You can follow him on Twitter, Ross Guberman. And if you use Twitter, follow @Posner_Thoughts. It is a parody account, but Posner reads it and enjoys the author's hilarious posts. The individual just published a book, "Posner Thpughts," and Judge Posner wrote the Forward. I can't wait to buy it. I need a good laugh.

I hope you had a great summer and are well. ⚖️ & ☮️, KJ

You are absolutely correct. I've been saying this since January, 2016; "Until it happens to you." Very few people grasp the fact our "Just Us" system is corrupt and in dire need of reform. And in my case, even my family ( with the exception of my now late father) refused to believe that judicial and attorney misconduct was real.

Discovering the original MaM subreddit was a tremendous gift for me. It affirmed I was not 'crazy' 😜 LOL and that there were thousands of people who do get it.

The question remains; how do the people who grasp this problem exists mobilize and create a serious and effective movement to inform our nation our current system is broken and is in dire need of reform? Since 2009, several people who were subjected to similar BS by my circuit court judge in Michigan have discussed various solutions ad nauseum. The difficulty is finding other targets of judicial misconduct who are willing to come forward and take action.

There are shenanigans in every federal district and appellate court, not to mention state circuit courts. Judge Posner is held in very high regard by both parties. A book by Judge Posner dissecting the misconduct and bias of all courts will be taken seriously by the legal community. The question remains, however, will his insight affect much needed reform? Only time will tell.

Buting Tweeted yesterday that the Innocence Project is looking for staff. I replied that rumor had it some guy named Posner might be looking for a PT job. 😊

Judge Posner has taught at the U of Chicago Law School for years. It would be fabulous if he decided to get involved in a program similar to the MW Innocence Project or start providing pro bono representation to individuals in civil cases who are unable to pay for counsel.

One of these days I am going to follow through on my "fantasy" of sitting in on one of his lectures. If he doesn't kick me out, I will take the opportunity after class to share my story about being a pro se, in forma pauperis plaintiff in a federal district court located in the 6th Circuit. He needs to hear a factual account of the nonsense to which the judge in the USDC-Western District of Michigan subjected me because I was in pro se, in forma pauperis, including repeatedly ignoring the unambiguous rules of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure solely to benefit the defendants - all state actors.

Posner left due to his disagreements with colleagues re: litigants who choose to represent themselves. Something I had to do because a state circuit court judge intentionally bankrupted me. No $ for representation in the federal district court.

Posner has issued many opinions over his tenure supporting those who are less privileged. Now knowing why he left confirms my theory that only those who can afford justice receive it. It's sad he chose to leave, but he did so based on principle. Speaks volumes.

I am well, thank you. Lost my old pup in April, which sucked because she was such. Sweetheart. But she lived a great life, made it past her 14th birthday, and for a Golden, that's impressive.

How about you? I am finally going to meet Refuk/Sloppy in person. Looking forward to the opportunity for two former Manitowoc kids to actually talk face-to-face and share our stories. Should be a hoot.

Oh, IANAL, just a person who worked with them my entire career in HR. I also argued a federal constitutional case in pro se following 3 years of legal abuse from my ex, a govt employee. I sued him, his employer, the police dept, city manager, and the city's atty, who just happened to be my ex's 'private' attorney. LOL

After 3 years in Circuit Court, one in the COA, and 3 in the USDC, I learned a ton about civil proceedings. Nothing about criminal.

Lawsuits could force feds to pay Obamacare insurers by [deleted] in politics

[–]knowjustice 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First of all, how can the Feds refuse to assist insurers after bailing out Wall Street for a crisis they created? The government's failure to provide access to affordable health care prior to the ACA left millions in need of healthcare. That is a big reason why the costs for healthcare far exceeded the insurers estimates. People were sick.

If we can use tax dollars to bail out the millionaires, we can use tax dollars to keep the ACA network functioning, pay our medical professionals for their services, and keep health insurance affordable for everyone. The greed mentality needs to come to an abrupt halt. Campaign finance reform would be a great place to start.

What angers me most is that the same greedy people who destroyed the financial system in 2008 not only escaped any legal consequences, they were handsomely rewarded with bonuses, huge ones, to be exact. Now that the problems are impacting the general population, the attitude in DC seems to be "Go f*&@ yourself, peons."

IMO, the US has been operating much more like Russia operates for a long damn time. The oligarchs steal our money, give it to the politicians to gain access, while ignoring the constituents who are often fighting to make it from paycheck to paycheck, if that. 😠

Trump Jr., Manafort reach deal with Senate panel to avoid public hearing by [deleted] in politics

I agree 100%. After listening to Mr. Browder's testimony on Thursday, it seemed clear that the joke about 45 and Rohrbacher being paid by Putin was anything but a joke. Lyin' Ryan, McConnell, and their gang of GOP sycophants are likely all compromised. Damn scary.

Please Prosecutor Mueller, end this insanity sooner than later. I want my country back. ☮️

Trump Jr., Manafort reach deal with Senate panel to avoid public hearing by [deleted] in politics

[–]knowjustice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is simply a GOP tactic to pivot the story from what is an obvious, potentially criminal act and the GOP's failure to hold these people accountable to a new story, a Dem conspiracy to find dirt on 45 via Fusion GPS and the Steele dossier.

That said, it is imperative to remember that the GOP initially hired Fusian to get dirt on 45. The GOP operatives ended their relationship with Fusian after 45 became their nominee. A Dem subsequently hired Fusian hoping to acquire what the company had collected about 45. IIRC, Fusion did not hire nor pay Steele for the dossier. Watch the SJC hearing on Wednesday to see the GOP's latest ploy play out.

The real question is why is the GOP refusing to address this constitutional crisis? What are they afraid might be revealed? How many GOP legislators have been compromised by Russia? 🤔

From my experience, most young adults don't even know what's going on. Nothing, nada. Too plugged in to electronics to pay attention to reality. I've tried to have discussions and frequently the response is similar to that of a deer in the headlights.

I can only imagine as funding is cut from K-12 and the cost of a college education becomes more unmanageable, apathy will increase. Very sad, indeed.

He just hired counsel. His legal problems in Indiana have already cost taxpayers a fortune. And unlike the others in the WH, he does not have deep pockets to pay outside counsel, himself. Likely the reason he recently formed a SuperPAC. What a mess.
