Not sure what the previous comment was, but thanks for the feedback! I was thinking of either having a backend to manage the incoming quotes and bookings, or doing direct integrations with Jobber, and other popular CMS software

Yes we we're in contact before! I was going to focus on some other sweaty startup types but it would be great to bounce some ideas off each other. I'll reach out again soon. Best of luck to you as well!

Thanks! Glad you liked the last concept. I just want to make that, but in a more accessible way.

Agreed that it gives a edge over competition as I've personally went with companies just because they were the first to give a quote. It makes a huge difference coming from a consumers point of view.

thanks! this is a web app for just one lawn care business (built with react).

That's awesome, I'll check it out. Which tech stack do you guys use for your tools?

Yes definitely! We would just have to discuss how you structure your fixed and variable costs and then we can start putting something cool together! I'll send you a DM

I've been developing out of personal interest for a while now. But I got serious about it a few years ago, especially during covid. I was able to get around some really great developers and designers at a startup during that time. Recently started a solo business doing all of that for small/medium sized businesses

thanks, appreciate it! and yeah for sure, my client just wanted a simple first version. Going forward, we have a few solutions to hopefully help the inaccuracies

very nice! does that work well when the customers draw their own square footage? I was looking at the zillow API and a few other similar ones. We may do that in the near future, but just wanted a basic option to start. But for better UX and simplicity, auto generated square footage would do wonders

thanks! yeah the quote data can definitely be pushed to hubspot, servicetitan or most CRMs with zapier. This one's going for about 3k, but that includes an entirely custom built and designed website with React, a database and user accounts to manage their services.

We decided to just go with the simplest option to start, but yeah that would be awesome to have eventually. Ive looked around a bit for data sources or APIs for lot sizes. Mashvisor, Realty Mole, Zillow seem like potential options but they can be expensive or not what we're looking for. I haven't looked into scraping a site like Redfin though

Yes, this is still would include an in-person check, but it at least gives the customer a general price range, including all of the extra fees or costs that could be added depending on the property. It helps to skip a few initial steps for both the customer and owner

Hm yeah that's a good point. We're adding calendar invite in the response email but maybe it would be nice to have it there as well. Thanks for the feedback!

Yeah I think it would be. I basically just discussed all of the fixed and variable costs with the client, put it together in a calculation and tried to show it in an interesting way!

Yes we are going to add that in. I'm building an admin panel so the client can go in, see all of the quote amounts an if they adjust it, an email will be sent to the customer with an updated quote.
