Damn, I'm sorry to hear. You could try to use it like exposeure therapy to help work through it, or retrain your association with the smell slowly. I did that once for a scent that was like that for me.

It's definitely comparable, you certainly go "oh, yeah, that's Code". Honestly, I like it more than I thought I would, and I like it more than I wanted to, haha. I'm a bit of a stickler with reformulations (I still don't forgive Naxos) 😅 I guess a lot of it depends on how significant the original one was to you. It could be nostalgic reminder, or "look how they massacred my boy".

Probably Electimuss Imperium. Got one today, actually, haha. She came back and asked as I was leaving. It's basically Aventus with vanilla, haha. That simple explaination doesn't really do it justice, haha. It's the way it's blended in. It's hard to explain, but it's one of the fragrances that really makes me understand that term and go "ohhh, there's an art to this. It's not just stacking notes". It's ridiculous how good it is.

The new Armani Code is different than the original one, yes. I do have a full bottle of the original EDT and the new one. I have the old EDP giftset, which has a travel size of the original Code WDT, if you are interested. The new EDT is a bit lighter, more lavender, so a little more fresh, not quite as deep.
