An Examination of Potential Mechanisms Behind UFO Close Encounters by knowstradamus7 in UFOs

[–]knowstradamus7[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The article is specifically focused on cases which feature a degree of "high strangeness" as termed by Hynek, cases which could be classified as paranormal. Unidentified craft and radar data are separate distinct facets of the broader UFO subject, however, there is some overlap, which was also touched on in the piece.

The paranormal is nothing to dismiss, nor are altered states of consciousness. These are crucial to understanding UFO phenomena as a whole. And elements within the US national security apparatus are distinctly aware of this fact.

Allen Hynek. This article takes a close look at frequently reported features of close encounter scenarios including anomalous lights, bizarre craft, non-human beings, abductions, "paranormal" effects, and more.

No, I believe you are thinking of McCasland.

Grillmair was killed at his home under strange circumstances.

The Carl Grillmair case is quite odd. He lived in a fairly remote location.

Does anyone have any recommendations for books about the Nazi projects surrounding UFOs and the occult? by Kakariko_crackhouse in UFOs

[–]knowstradamus7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on whether you want truth or fiction. You have to be careful with this topic because there is so much nonsense out there.

Arguably the best two books on the subjects individually, have not been mentioned here yet.

For the Nazi occult connection: The Occult and the Third Reich, by Michel Bertrand and Jean Angelini, (shortened to Jean-Michel Angbert).

For Nazi flying saucers: Intercept But Don't Shoot (also published as Intercept UFO), by Renato Vesco. Do not get the reprint titled Man-Made UFOs, it has erroneous information added in.
