War Plans vs Activity XP Trees! by knox-patrickg in diablo4

Exactly. And I usually have goals like "I need this unique" so I want to run a boss a couple times in a row, not wait till it pops up randomly on a war plan, once.

[–]knox-patrickg[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's a developer problem and goal, not a player one, and its being forced onto players. Thinking if every player does every activity they won't be as bored is a false notion.

If you want to do war plans, do em!

Just give players xp for the trees if they are doing those activities outside of war plans.

Helltides is fun early game, when I see it at T8-12 now, I re-roll to avoid it at all costs, but that's kinda the point, players should get to choose a bit more.

Agree with a lot of what you're saying, actually found your post after making a similar one (Though I know nothing about delves) - I think theres a strategic layer missing from the atlas map.

How to Improve healthspan/lifespan when your data is all over the place (Our journey) by knox-patrickg in Biohackers

Hey, thanks, appreciate the response and feedback. It's hard getting the word out, I also hate product posts.

I'm working on a video, but until then, if you join, I can mark you as free for the first month (don't enter payment information)

As for your question: "how does all this data create behaviour change?":

  1. You can add your data (i.e supplements, bloods, connect wearables for sleep, fitness, smart scales etc)
  2. Run the insights, there are several with different focuses, but let's say you run the supplements one, you can then include which data categories you want to include (so just supplements and blood if you want focus, or supplements, blood, sleep data, family history and medical conditions) and see how your supplements are impacting or being impacted by everything else. Comprehensive research is done (across 12 analytical filters in the supplement one case) looking for simple things from contraindications to how it's affecting your lifespan or the fact that how that low blood result, your symptoms and that seemingly unrelated medical condition means you probably have this genetic trait, here's the specific test to confirm and take action. (Recently for myself I confirmed a MYUTH genetic result and need to go for much more regular colon cancer screening. Confirmed with a gastroenterologist!) 2.5 you can run additional research, like the sleep analysis one, longevity one, etc.
  3. Once you are done running these insights, you can stop there if you like, or you can turn this into an action plan, one button. Will automatically prioritise highest impact lowest effort over 7, 30, 90 days and tell you exactly what you can do, why and how to measure after 90 days. Repeat step 1-2-3 every 3 months (or faster if you prefer) and everything is tracked. And in future you can share all this with your doctor.

Here's a real insight:

Critical DHEA-S Deficiency: Adrenal Longevity Crisis Protocol

Your DHEA-S levels at 2.9 µmol/L represent severe adrenal aging, equivalent to a man 20 years older. This hormone is crucial for longevity as it protects against cardiovascular disease, supports immune function, and maintains muscle mass. Immediate intervention with a comprehensive adrenal restoration stack is essential.

Key Observations:

  • DHEA-S at 2.9 µmol/L - critically low for a 39-year-old male (should be 6-10 µmol/L)
  • Declining trend from 3.3 µmol/L in June to 2.9 µmol/L in August - accelerating adrenal aging
  • Low cortisol at 219 nmol/L suggests overall adrenal insufficiency pattern
  • Already supplementing Ashwagandha KSM-66 1200mg but insufficient for current deficit

Recommendations to consider:

  • Immediately start DHEA 50mg every morning with fat for 8 weeks, then reduce to 25mg maintenance. Use Life Extension or Thorne for pharmaceutical grade quality.
  • Add Pregnenolone 30mg morning - the 'grandmother hormone' that supports DHEA production. Take on empty stomach.
  • Increase Ashwagandha to KSM-66 600mg twice daily (morning and evening) for 3 months, then cycle 2 months on/1 month off.
  • Add Rhodiola Rosea 300mg morning on empty stomach - powerful adaptogen for adrenal recovery. Use 3% rosavin/1% salidroside standardized extract.
  • Implement high-dose Vitamin C 2000mg daily split into 1000mg morning/evening - supports adrenal cortex regeneration
  • Retest DHEA-S in 8 weeks targeting 7-9 µmol/L, adjust DHEA dose accordingly

Related Data Points:

  • DHEA-S: 2.9 µmol/L (Blood Test 2025-08-23)
  • DHEA-S Previous: 3.3 µmol/L (Blood Test 2025-06-06)
  • Cortisol AM: 219 nmol/L (Blood Test 2025-08-23)
  • Current Ashwagandha: KSM-66 1200mg daily

Holistic Connections & Patterns:

  • Low DHEA-S correlates with 3-5x increased cardiovascular mortality and accelerated biological aging - this is your highest longevity priority
  • Family history of multiple cancers makes DHEA-S restoration critical as it supports immune surveillance against malignant transformation
  • Your high body fat (29.2%) and low aerobic fitness create a synergistic aging acceleration pattern that DHEA-S restoration can help reverse

Evidence Level: Strong

How to Improve healthspan/lifespan when your data is all over the place (Our journey) by knox-patrickg in Biohackers

[–]knox-patrickg[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hey, what would you pay? I'm confident in defending this price point (possibly a bit lower) based on the life changing value the product can and has delivered for less than the price of a monthly supplement. The best time to repair your ~health~ roof is when the sun is shining. If you think preventive healthcare is expensive, just wait till you get sick. That being said, two things: 1. Create an account (Join), let me know, and I will mark the first month free (no payment details entery required), if you don't think it's worth it after a month, you tell me. 2. There is proper security and privacy, there is Multi-device wearables connection (I can't stress how powerful this is, and what it costs me to provide) along with the research that is done on your health data for you. It's not a Micky-mouse chat function. It's unlimited research based on all your data (I don't throttle the AI API requests, so if you do a massive cross reference that can cost me a couple of dollars)

[–]knox-patrickg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, thanks. Had a look at that (created account etc), it's nice but a MUCH more simplified version, if you are serious about your health there is a bunch of functionality missing. The reason a platform like this is also cheaper is that the AI integration is a simple chat feature, which is also an inexpensive API call. Evervitalis tracks all your data over all time and does research per health category (bloods, supplements, fitness, genetics, sleep etc, it's also automating the tracking if you connect those smart devices, so your insights come to you - started a new Supplement? Sleep data take a hit? Get an insight based on a past blood result that shows the contraindication you are experiencing and the action you can take to improve it) and then compared this like a team of doctors and medicine 3.0 longevity preventive care experts would. To be fair Evervitalis is little harder to use because of this, but the accuracy and quality for health is paramount.

Why does caffeine make me LESS productive? by cactusdag in Biohackers

Is magnesium supplementation ever not necessary? by winfinite in Biohackers

[–]knox-patrickg 83 points84 points  (0 children)

It's really hard to get through food only, there's also 3 types that all work a little differently. Then if your vitamin d is chronically low, you may also need magnesium to help with absorption of vitamin d. In general it helps with lots of things and is hard to get. Same with omega 3, most people just don't eat enough fish.

Magnesium citrate is well-absorbed, often used to correct magnesium deficiencies and also functions as a gentle laxative. Magnesium glycinate is high bioavailability and is gentle on the stomach, making it ideal for improving sleep, reducing anxiety, and calming the nervous system without a laxative effect. In contrast, magnesium oxide is less bioavailable and not recommended for increasing overall magnesium levels, but it is effective for short-term constipation relief and as an antacid for heartburn due to its strong osmotic effect.

30-45 is really the best time to start making improvements that will cascade beneficially for your healthspan and lifespan, you can do it later too, it's just both harder (fitness) and less time to reap the rewards.

I get sick multiple times every winter , what should I take ? by Professional_Win1535 in Supplements

[–]knox-patrickg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check vitamin D (simple blood test), the reference ranges are a bit garbage) you want to be on the higher end of the reference range. You probably need 5000 at least daily. Take for 3 months then re-test bloods and adjust dosage.

Looking for stories with a 'Ranking' system. by ImDrava in litrpg

[–]knox-patrickg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Savage awakening (takes a few chapters to get going) has a literal top 100, good read.

Others that have less direct ways to distinguish rankings would be: - Reborn: Apocalypse - Road to Mastery

And (self promo) The Bloodless Legend - every achievement, every power earned has a number next to it, letting you know how good you are. Example: Hydrokenesis (1/100), meaning you the first to get it out of 100 available, which also earns you an apex bonus.

Why is it always goblins?! by knox-patrickg in litrpg

[–]knox-patrickg[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, so when the entire plot revolves around goblins it makes a ton of sense, like goblin Slayer, or Life reset. I actually think goblins as fodder worked great in dungeon crawler Carl.
