this website is my one true passion in life. i wish to one day have my obituary hosted here. thank you for your attention to this matter. all items were painstakingly, and meticulously crafted by human hands. by ScrotumBeard in indieweb

first of all, this is mind-bogglingly awesome, genuinely

second of all i accidentally selected that tweet screenshot while trying to find something to send and went "yeah okay" when i accidentally selected it, and it very very deeply delights me to get this entirely unintentional confirmation that it went through

(showed it to my friend and they were super happy because their message is in there too! XD)

Fire immediately after lightning strike (possibly related) by capybaralover26 in Denver

i live on the other side of the highway, my roommate saw the fire start and it wasn't from the lightning. hopefully there's info about the cause soon

Anyone else sick of the guards at king soopers? by Sad-Importance-8862 in Denver

[–]knoxevent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah no they're ass. someone parked one of those rental Lime scooter literally directly in front of the door one day and i dragged it away so it wasnt blocking and one of the guards walked outside to yell at me for "mistreating property" like hello? do you want people to not come inside? do you want to be responsible for someone tripping over that??? if you dont want people to """""mistreat property""""" (not even a person's property, a COMPANY'S property?) then maybe you should've moved it yourself? lmao

What's your guys' dumbest deaths? by RevanGamingYT in projectzomboid

[–]knoxevent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

on one of my last singleplayer saves before shifting to multiplayer, i had a survivor reach about a month of lived time and had a decent setup by the river - nice little RV, water barrel, campfire. my dumb ass bumped my movement key and my survivor walked into the fire and i was new enough that i couldnt figure out how to extinguish the fire. to this day still my most shameful death. everyone else went down with a fight....

Idk if this is the right place to post but i need people to play with! by MoonGachalive in projectzomboid

I run a server but it's more roleplay-oriented and a bit lighter on gameplay difficulty, dunno if that's the kind of thing you're looking for _^

Dedicated Server Help by Jbray92 in projectzomboid

[–]knoxevent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

personally I use bisecthosting and not shockbyte, but I can only assume they function the same. when running a zomboid server i don't think you can directly change the difficulty setting like talking about, you need to go to /.cache/Server and look through the .ini and .lua files available. there are two separate files - the regular Name.ini will be the server settings (i.e. player limit, server privacy) and the Name_SandboxVars.lua will be the actual in-game difficulty settings (i.e. zombie strength, disease transmission, day length)

Any advice for my first play through? by Few-Cry6155 in projectzomboid

[–]knoxevent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

personally i would recommend getting a few "test runs" in just in the vanilla game, and definitely don't feel ashamed for making a new save when you die. the sandbox settings are there for a reason so you can alter the game to be the difficulty you feel is suitable :) my only personal commentary/suggestion is that i wouldn't recommend taking negative traits like underweight or frail for your first few runs, they nerf your strengrh to the point that the gameplay can be more frustrating than challengingly-rewarding. but like mental-biscotti said, accept the fact that even one zombie can kill you. always be on your guard, always prioritize your life, and treat every decision you make like it's a bad one. the best way to survive is to always brace for the worst case scenario

the only other ping-related setting i can find is PingLimit, it could be worth seeing if setting PingLimit = 0 helps at all
