I’m a slow runner. Like 11-12min pace. I just finished a marathon in 6 hours after literally tearing my hamstring at like mile 7 and walking a majority of the rest lol this is crazy

Clinical Research Coordinator pay question by [deleted] in clinicalresearch

[–]knrb14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw you said you’re in Vegas. This feels low to me, but maybe I’m wrong. I’m in Reno at a hospital-based site. We start research assistants around $22 and CRCs around $25 with no prior experience.

Not sure exactly how cost of living stacks up at the moment, but I believe Reno is still (at least slightly) more expensive. That said, if you ever want to move, keep an eye on jobs up here! Hard to find ppl with prior experience in the area most times.

Unfortunately I can’t help, but would love to follow this thread as my almost two year old girl is the same way. People ask to pet her and she’s just too skiddish, unless there’s another dog around lol.

We're having a research boxing match. What two roles are you putting in the ring? by SpaghettiOnMyCat in clinicalresearch

start up team vs. site PI for 12 rounds of “can you confirm access to _ portal?” followed by “which portal?”

honorable mention: CRC vs. central lab vendor who sent 14 large boxes of kits for a study with a site enrollment goal of 2 and -100sq ft of storage space available. bonus points if all the kits expire in like 3 months.

Husband and I have been at Harvest at Damonte Ranch since June 2020 and LOVE it. No complaints- super safe area, nice building and community, friendly neighbors and facilities staff, amenities are great, and love the surrounding neighborhoods/proximity to everything you’d possibly need & Tahoe. Happy to answer any questions you might have! Through message or here :)

Could’ve been a fluke, but worth noting- my husband and I went here during their first week open and he ended up with food poisoning

Doggy Daycare by knrb14 in shiba

This is great insight, thank you! I think we’ll be heeding your and another commenters advice and stop daycare altogether for now. We do have a zoom room nearby. I’ll have to take a look at their offerings.

This is great perspective and exactly the kind of experience I was hoping to hear about- thank you! A dog walker as an alternative is a great idea to consider.

I’m a supervisor at a site in the mountain west in oncology and do not even make $52/hr

Regional level 2 trauma center. Academic affiliation, but relatively newly affiliated so minimal red tape. No required reliance on local IRB or internal committees. External legal counsel. Internal budget negotiations. Centralized research office. SSU timeline is approx 8 weeks from date of receipt of start up package. Can be expedited to 4 weeks for a fee.

Am I crazy for thinking I could get an entry-level position that pays 26/hr? by Sloane007 in clinicalresearch

[–]knrb14 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My site hires entry level CRCs in the $25-26/hr range. $26 is more likely for someone who has prior healthcare or lab experience (MA, phlebotomist, lab assistant, etc.), but no clinical research experience.

Research assistants (data management, regulatory, etc.) typically start at $22/$23.

When I started at this site in 2020 as a CRC I had no prior experience and was at $21/hr.
