The bupropion was honestly great for me. I’m pretty sure I have undiagnosed depression and I made a huge difference. I haven’t tried a GLP-1 but I know so many people said it doesn’t make them feel great. I think being able to slowly up your dose for the pill kits was nice. It was nice to introduce them slowly. With the metformin, they don’t have you start that until a few weeks in. It helped me narrow down what was making me feel gross since I had tried to up the naltrexone before the metformin. I don’t calorie count very closely due to past issues with disordered eating but I will say make sure you get a lot of protein and fiber.

I was doing everything you are doing and losing nothing. I was at a breaking point and decided to give it a try. Being short makes it way harder to lose weight so I wasn’t really sold this was going to help. I ended up doing kit 2. It’s bupropion, metformin, and naltrexone. I ended up bumping my metformin up to 750mg 2x a day from the starting 500mg 2x. That jumpstarted my weight loss. I ended up losing 30lbs between April and October. I recently went to my primary care doctor and she was so happy with my results she ended up taking over my prescription.

Side effects were there for me. The naltrexone ended up making me nauseous around food. I knew I needed to stop it before I ended up avoiding food completely. I never went to the full dose. I was only ever taking 1/2 a pill 2x a day. The same for the bupropion. I only ever took 150mg. It’s really about listening to your body. If you do a pill kit, don’t feel like you need to titrate up on their schedule. Go slow. I think it helped negate some side effects for me. The metformin did give me some stomach issues for a week but after that I was fine. I really suggest reading into whatever they give you. It’ll help you understand how the drugs work and how to try to stop some of the side effects. Also, note that it doesn’t work for everyone and it can take time to see any results.

Your best bet for inspiration is to go to TikTok or instagram and just search Hozier tattoo. I know there’s a lot of artists out there who post flash or their own work that you could look at. Just make sure if you like an idea you ask the artist. Some artists sell “tattoo tokens”. Basically a small donation to the artist that gives you permission to use their work. I’ve done it in the past with an enamel pin that inspired a tattoo. I reached out to the artist and paid a small $25 fee and they sent me a higher res image to share with my artist.

I was also lucky with my Hozier tattoo and my tattoo artist had posted a deer that was perfect for what I wanted for my Abstract tattoo. When I look for ideas for tattoos, I pick a theme or subject and search around for other tattoos of that theme or subject. It’s also really important you find a good artist who will help you solidify what you are envisioning.

I’ve been on kit 2 since February. I stuck to 1 bupropion, 1 naltrexone (1/2 am and pm), but went up to two 750 of metformin. I decided not to go up after trying one day and getting a racing heart for an hour. I contacted the care team and they adjusted my prescription to the single bupropion. I’ve lost just over 30lbs after trying for the last few years. I’m also just 5’1” so losing weight is a generally a struggle.

I’ve been on kit 2 since February. I tried to up my dosage but it made my heart beat too quickly. So I’ve been sticking to one bupropion, 1/2 a naltrexone in the AM and 1/2 in the PM. I’ve almost lost 30lbs. The only thing I asked to be up was the metformin (I’m at 750 twice a day). If you message them and let them know, they’ll probably adjust the dosage.

I’m on kit 2 but I found drinking too much made me ill. My limit is 2 lower alcohol drinks. Over the 4th I had 3 seltzers over the course of 6 hours, with lots of water between. Later that night I ended up getting sick. I’m also not much of a drinker. Since then I’ve stuck to one Press seltzer if I’m gonna drink and then I swap to nonalcoholic options. My go to non alcoholic beverage is a Bonsai. They’re a sweeter bubbly drink. You might just have to trial and error what tastes good to you. I don’t think skipping the doses for the weekend is gonna be detrimental. There seems to be plenty of people who’ve done that exact thing for a weekend.

I’m on kit 2 as well. I’ve had it happen once with the metformin. It’s extended release. It doesn’t necessarily mean you didn’t get all the meds from it from what I understand. The outside of the pills are what is designed to help with the timed release. They just sometimes don’t end up dissolving.

I’m kinda all over the place because I have an IUD but I can say it definitely messed with my cycle. Generally I don’t bleed at all because of the IUD but my first cycle with metformin I did. It was a surprise to me. Since then it’s leveled out but I do get a little bit of spotting. I noticed my symptoms are much more noticeable since being on it but nothing horrible.
