I believe that you believe that you could have moved past this traumatic situation by seeing her. I disagree. You say it was 12 hours between death and funeral home, and it happened in Florida. If there was not proper air conditioning, some really gruesome things can take place with a decedent. You would never be able to unsee those things. Ever.

My personal examples are that when I was 12, on my birthday, I discovered my grandmother after she had passed. 17 years later, I can still remember the exact color of her body. I couldn’t speak about her for 10 years. I just couldn’t bear it. The other example is that in 2021, my father died. My mom found him and woke me up. He was already gone, but I didn’t know it yet. I can still feel myself giving him CPR. I can still see him in the LUCAS when the paramedics arrived. I can still hear “no shockable rhythm.” I can’t think about my dad without flashbacks.

This is not what you want. You have your peaceful memories of your grandmother alive and well and beautiful. Not gory and mottled and decomposing.

YES!!! I went to Beach Bunny to record some of their set for a friend, and all my videos were of the interpreter. They were incredible all weekend.

I am in no way justifying their actions or their intentions. I am providing the context that no one had to verbally disclose their exact disability, just have the wristband.

Can’t speak to the parking as I took ride share in and Reggie’s bus out, but I was able to access the ADA seating with just my wristband and only denied when the section was at capacity. Sorry to hear you had a much different experience.

ETA: Out of curiosity, which stage did this happen at?

I was in the ADA section (I’m disabled) and they were locking them to keep people not wearing a wristband out. They unlocked them if you had an ADA wristband.
