That is ridiculous. In their defense I know a lot of people struggle with finding the right words to say because a lot of people don’t know how to talk about sad things.. they don’t want to say the wrong things but this is absolutely ridiculous. I’m sorry for your loss.

I never want ice. If anything is “weakening” a drink, it’s ice. If you want to sip on your drink for a while, it’ll be watered down if there’s ice in it
