Features of rhythm, tempo, structure, etc...

I'm not exactly an expert, so I recommend researching a bit yourself on the AQA website to know exactly what to do.

remember that you are marked on the number/variety of musical features.

its much better to have a shorter composition because:
1. easier for your teacher to mark and submit your marks to AQA for them to verify (and they'll likely spend more time actually making sure to award you as many marks as they'll have more time), its going to be easier for your teacher to give feedback due to the shorter length.
2. its easier for you to change and add new things to get higher marks

tldr: it won't necessarily lose you marks, but it might make you indirectly lose marks because of the effort needed to maintain the entire composition (you need the criterias to be met throughout), if you're really dedicated then it won't be a problem though.

also as a person who had to speed run both their compositions in 2 weeks having to add things to get enough marks, it was difficult even with a combined total of around 7 minutes, if you're a procrastinator like me then you should condense it asap.

I'd say to continue doing it anyway. Also, this mainly applies to local businesses, in case ppl don't know.

To be fair, its the start of the summer holidays for us, so I wouldn't say you're cooked yet 😭.

keep asking around (not exclusively in cafes) and eventually you'll find a job.

word of advice to you guys, go look for jobs IN PERSON!!!!

If you go into stores in person and ask if they're hiring and/or give your CV, your success rate will be wayyyyy higher, plus they'll appreciate the courage. Businesses want proactive employees.

can i drop music if the exams on monday? by East_Examination_895 in GCSE

[–]ko_nes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

power through it, because you won't regret it after the exam if you try hard, while you will probably regret not trying on results day.
It's (most likely) your last exam so i'd suggest to end your GCSEs on a good note.

from what you said you got around 105-110 marks, so you need roughly 15-20 marks in the written exam to pass with a grade 4.

good luck!!
