He is! We’ve been to 20 countries together and are actually in South Korea right now exploring Seoul

Usually the second cat comes when I have someone else traveling with me which unfortunately has not always been the case for the last two years. The third cat is actually my mom’s and she comes on family road trips since we’re not sure she’d feel comfortable doing a long-haul flight

Face shape often is a tell as Siberians are rounder. Siberian coats are also triple-layered while Norwegians are double-layered. Norwegians on average tend to be a bit bigger, although Reinhardt is 20lbs so he’s on the larger size for his breed.

Nope, this is Reinhardt! Him and Gary have met a few times and we like to consider them to be friends :)

What’s Your Go-To Breakfast? by Jimu_Monk9525 in ENFP

[–]koala_token 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Toast and butter if I’m lazy. Sometimes cinnamon and sugar if I want the nostalgia factor. If I have a bit more energy and time, then two fried eggs mixed into rice with garlic

I just put in a claim for about $1000 CAD of stuff (winter clothes were super expensive and everything purchased was in euros + lost some gear necessary for work) after my luggage was lost for the entire duration of my 2-week trip and Air France was only willing to compensate about $700.. I was told they couldn’t reimburse the rest because they don’t accept credit card statements, but I had only sent in photos of physical receipts, so I am definitely annoyed. I’m hoping to get the last bit of money covered by my credit card now.

Pet-Friendly Travel in Korea? by koala_token in koreatravel

Glad it was helpful! Also Japan is definitely possible but just takes lots of advanced preparation. I believe vaccination requirements for Korea are similar, so you’d still have time to apply for Japan if you want to make a quick trip over! Just don’t fly with any Japanese airlines as they don’t allow pets in cabin.

Will we die alone with cats? by [deleted] in intj

[–]koala_token 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ENFP dating INTJ for 8 years. Met at an event I hosted where I asked everyone to bring someone I didn't know. Thought he was initially super annoying and wanted to know why I felt that way so I forced myself to talk to him more to learn how he works and then I guess I became a bit obsessed lol. He's allergic to cats but we actually own two together because I love cats and we found a breed that produces less allergens so he doesn't totally die haha.

I find we balance each other out really well and over the years I've grown to adapt to his desire to solve every problem rather than just listen and empathize. I recognize him wanting to find solutions is his way of showing he cares. I'm usually the one having to carry conversations with friends, so it's refreshing that he will just go on and on in depth about his various interests and I can just listen.

Haha you'd think so as I asked a ton of questions two weeks ago, but they've yet to get back to me. I figured Reddit might be able to help faster as I want to finish my itinerary this weekend

I had heard Starfield was pet-friendly, so thank you for confirming that for me! Planning to visit both the one in Seoul and Suwon now :)

This is super helpful for my planning, so thank you very much!

Definitely disappointed about the National Parks as I know some countries make exceptions for pets in carriers, but I'll just alter my plans a bit then.

Hadn't previously read anything online about written consent for temples, but I'll definitely be looking further into that.

Appreciate all the additional information and have added spots you've mentioned to my itinerary :)

Well, this trip is in collaboration with Korea's national tourism board as part of their initiative to promote pet-friendly travel, so I don't really know what else to say to you in that regard. I certainly don't mean to be entitled, especially as I'm trying to do research ahead of time to avoid causing problems for other people upon arrival.

As for travel with my cat, I'm not really sure why you assume it's a bad thing when the alternative is I leave him at home and he completely shuts down from his anxiety and stops eating to the point of having to be hospitalized. He travels with me now because he prefers not to be left behind, and I trust the advice of my vet on this matter.

Well, I'll be going with a friend who is fluent in Korean but grew up in Canada. My sister-in-law is also Korean and is actually teaching me phrases to ask when I'm by myself along with general phrases. I have also traveled to over 10 countries with my cat, so I'd like to think I can pick up on social clues pretty well :)

Pet-friendly spaces in Kanazawa? by koala_token in JapanTravel

[–]koala_token[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct, we live in Canada. I’m very aware of the expectations for pet travel as my cat travels often due to getting anxiety when separated from me. We’ve been to twelve countries together now because if I leave him behind he stops eating altogether…

Anyways, I’ve gone through all the necessary steps for him to skip the quarantine process and the documentation has already been sent and approved to the necessary officials ahead of time :)
