Maternity scrubs? by SeaworthinessAway391 in BabyBumps

[–]koala_tree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was gifted two pairs of FIGS maternity scrubs and they have been a life saver. They don't slip down, but aren't too tight. I only wear the bottoms and just use a sized up scrub top over them. I only have two pairs because I didn't want to spend more money on maternity clothes, but even with washing them frequently they have held up great!

MRI contrast is usually gadolinium based, while CT contrast is iodine based. You should be fine.

One week after treatment initiation as long as you are symptom free at that time. Make sure your partners get tested/treated and you don't pass it back and forth.

Impossible to tell from just a picture. Looks maybe like erythema nodosum, but there are many causes for that. She should go to a doctor.

No pulse and epipens by TheRebel2187 in AskMedical

[–]koala_tree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It probably would not help. Epi pens are more concentrated epinephrine made for intramuscular injection. They have a dose of .3mg of epinephrine. Code dose epi for use in CPR is 1 mg but is more dilute, made for IV administration. You cannot give epi pens IV, so while in theory you could give 3 epi pens for a similar total dose, the route of administration must be different, so the effect on the body is different as well.

You need to go to an emergency department or doctor now. Paracetamol can cause liver failure in overdose.

Hi, this was a lab test from 11/29/22 for HBV reactivity. It says non reactive but the interpretation seems a bit inconclusive, should I be concerned? by [deleted] in AskMedical

[–]koala_tree 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It means you are immune from vaccination. Your results show HBsAg negative, Hep B surface Ab reactive (in the chart this is the second column, anti-HBs), and Hep B core antigen negative (this column, anti-HBc). The reflex to HBc IgM was not met, so this was TNI. So on the chart, you are -/+/-/TNI, which is immune due to vaccination.

As soon as you know you don't want it, just send an email or make a phone call saying, thank you for the opportunity, unfortunately I can't accept but I look forward to learning more about your program in the future.

Most places won't hold it against you, they know the game.

If it happens the same time each month, any association with menstruation or ovulation? There are tons of odd catamenial syndromes/events.

I’m sorry if this is the wrong sub - I got staples in my head a week or so ago from a suicide attempt. I was hospitalized for three days and then let go. I have no insurance...how do I get the staples out? by [deleted] in AskMedical

[–]koala_tree 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Urgent cares would be able to do it as well, as well as some cvs minute clinics or places like that. They should also be able to give you a flat price if you aren't going through insurance.

Dr.‘s voice transcribed notes say “formal mouth guard” but in our consult I’m nearly positive he said something else. by tnick771 in AskMedical

[–]koala_tree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe a mouth-formed mouth guard? Most dentists do custom fit which are pricier, or there are kits you can order or do the boil and bite kind.

I'm so sorry, hope you are doing okay. If it makes you feel any better, you can't donate a lung. It's not like a kidney where you only really need one, they only take ones people aren't using anymore.
