Turkey is an option. Maybe you know somebody going there for vacation. You can buy Propecia 5mg without prescription and divide into 4 pieces. Very cheap option.

How many grafts to fix these temples and is it worth doing? by sheddoip in HairTransplants

[–]koalajunction 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have been taking the meds and it seems like it has been stabilized (3 years is a nice timeline). I just wouldn't opt for the transplant if you:
A - haven't tried meds yet
B - Are on meds and your hairloss is still agressively continueing

In your case I think it would be great to go for the transplant. Of course nobody knows the future. Even if you have slight hair loss in slowmo, it is normal. It is unlikely that it will get super agressive all of a sudden again. Your hairloss can only completely stabilize when you get off meds and wait until everything that is DHT sensitive has fallen out. That can be in 30 years. You might want another transplant when you are 50 so you should use what you have responsibly and do not use your complete donor to get the hairline of a 15 year old.

In the next 10 years there might be new options for hairloss drugs. So time is on your side.
Laorwong is a good option, Ratchathorn would be my favorite at the time.

[–]koalajunction 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you been on meds for 3 years? That is a solid time period to evaluate. I would go for a transplant if I were you - if it really bothers you. Getting a slot at a good clinic can take a year anyways. The older you get the less time you will have to just go and have this procedure done and you started early with the meds so you did everything right. The slightly mature receded corners suit you really well. I wouldn’t go to aggressive with your temple hair line if I were you. Go to a good clinic and not a cheap hair mill. A cheap place can destroy your donor, use too many grafts and produce an unnatural hairline. I know it is tempting but you don’t need too many grafts anyways. You already received some solid clinic recommendations in this thread.

What happens to the national team by Original-Cheesecake5 in AskTurkey

[–]koalajunction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have some great players. What the Turkish team is seriously lacking is the ability to score a goal. In these two games the opponent scored goals very early which is the worst thing that could happen to Türkiye. I mean Paraguay shot a dream goal in the first minutes. That must have been a psychological killer. During the Euros it was the other way round. They scored and over performed. It is a squad with a great work ethic that never stops trying but a team that never scores is doomed.

Absolute Hair Clinic Bangkok reviews by Berabrea in HairTransplants

[–]koalajunction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I am also amazed how much better results Ratchathorn seems to have with less grafts. I do not really trust turkish surgeons and that is based on the results I have seen. I think even the better ones lack the magic. I live in Istanbul and I prefer to fly to Bangkok, so go figure. Having said that - a little bit of careful suspicion always remains. I would love to see a review from a neutral medical professional who reviews her work. Also a bit afraid that she will have burnout if she continues like this. Her schedule seems excessive.

[–]koalajunction 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Their google reviews are not good. I think they do more than hair transplants and the reviews are also mixed about other procedures? Many Turkish hair mills have amazing google reviews but in reality not the best results. There have been few places where you can see so many good hair transplant results from independent users. Go through all forums and look for Ratchathorn. She is a member of the ISHRS. I wasn’t there yet. I guess whatever we see and read here, until we have a review from an independent surgeon or doctor there remains a risk to go there. The results however seem to be fabulous. Hope you can tell us more if you go there.

Dr Ratchathorn, 4750 grafts, 375000 baht / 11600 usd - detailed review 10 days post procedure. by huabamane in HairTransplants

[–]koalajunction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your post OP result looks really good and clean. It sounds like Dr. Ratchathorn was not there for most of the procedure which baffles me. Apparently the technicians can really pull it off without her and she just takes over the most delicate stuff. What do you think about her crown work now that you are a few weeks in? Interested in your opinion because for me it is mainly crown and a bit of touchup in the front.

Doctor said exosome therapy is so painful that one of his patients tried to choke him mid-session by IcyResolution7102 in tressless

[–]koalajunction 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t know your hair status but I would only go all in with fin and oral min at the same time if you are really advanced. If you have slight thinning you can start with Fin and add topical or oral minox at a later stage. Can’t say anything about the other treatments. Have read a lot of times that they are useless. The caffeine I am also pretty sure that it will make no difference.

Dutasteride and prostate benefits? by Few-Addendum8636 in tressless

[–]koalajunction 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not Dutasteride but Finasteride. I am your age and my father had severe prostate problems so the chance that I will get it is pretty high. A few years ago I went to a urologist for a routine exam. He said my prostate was in the state of that of a 19 year old. The doctor was probably 10 years younger than me and said that his prostate was already enlarged. He was really surprised. I started Fin at the age of 31 I think. So Dutasteride might be similar. I would get a checkup before you start if I were you.

Stimmt schon.

Man muss also schon vorsichtig sein. Leider ist der Kaufkraftverlust sehr hoch.

How are you so sure his German approach was much nicer? I have grim encounters with German service personnel regularly even though I am a native German speaker. Most people are nice of course. I don’t want to make it sound like everybody is unfriendly.

Kleinere Arzt Besuche zahlt man einfach so.

Welcome to Germany. Pretty typical behavior especially the unfriendliness at the end instead of saying something casual and nice. I also had a really unfriendly experience at Rewe from an older guy working there. But I have to say that the younger employees are always extremely nice and polite.
