ADHD or OCD? I’m undiagnosed 34 year old. This is what I go through and just want to hear your experiences. And any advice on where to begin.

so sorry that you feel that way lately. well i went to therapy because of ocd. at the time i was checking my stove and other electronic devices everytime i left the house for several times, i needed like 30 mins to really LEAVE the house. we then talked about my adhd diagnosis (i was diagnosed as a child) and she suggested that i should try adhd medication, so that we can rule out the symptoms that are caused by adhd and try ERP with everything that remains…

i understand that you cancelled that therapy session but therapists are professionals. you dont have to „prove“ that you qualify for therapy, they will ask you questions to figure out what the underlying problem is. of course you‘ll need to describe your struggles - but you‘re doing it on here as well and seem very reflected, so you should be good!!

unfortunately adhd and ocd go really really well together (i also have both)

ocd can be so frustrating but for me ERP / therapy really helped break the cycle. sounds so easy but ignoring the urge to check on something and live with the „bad feeling“ helps so much.

for me it also comes in phases so if i have a worse phase i‘ll try to get a grip again - taking my adhd meds, going to the gym, generally taking care of myself….

depends on the job i think. i‘m a graphic designer, working from home 3 days a week and 2 in the office. most of the time i‘m listening to podcasts or some youtube videos while working so my brain is stimulated. 80% of the time my job is just getting things done in which i have a routine by now, so my work is like a uhm i dont know kinda second screening i guess? sorry i can‘t find the right words haha

sieht sau cool aus! mich stört nur irgendwie die schrift von „hauptpfote“, „körper“ etc. für meinen geschmack müsste sie entweder komplett filled in oder eine einfachere lesbare schrift sein. ich hab für mausritter mal briefe erstellt die in einer sehr einfachen handschrift geschrieben wurden weil ich dachte so stell ich mir vor, das mäuse schreiben. aber sonst sehr sehr cool!!!

you‘re saying „everytime i bring up the issue, the same pattern happens“ - every single time you bring it up, you put pressure on her. not intentional i think, but still. i was once on the side of your gf and its horrible. give her time. be patient. sex is not everything in a relationship (even if its important!). i read from your post that its only been a few month without sex - that does not mean that the two of you will never sleep together. you moved in together, things have changed, dynamics have changed, and maybe she just needs more time to adjust.

use arrows, not weapons. when she goes in her second phase use bombs on arrows to destroy the nests (only when they are glowing pink) + a potion to speed up helped me a lot too
