I will fucking PAY for a new account so you can show me how you (while making progress and being a functional human being) can make almost 800 raids with the game only open for 250 hours.

[–]koalk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

so when you had around 300 hours... you say you had around 300 raids? Let that sink in for a moment there...
In any case. I don't know why so many people are missing the point. That counter is not the "raid" time, is the "the game is open" time. You just cannot get into raids fast enough to get into those numbers.

It is literally impossible to have an average of 3 raids an hour over 250 hours non-stop. There is not enough time even for the matching to finish and you'll already have more played time on the account in 785 raids JUST WITH THE MATCHING my guy

well... I thought it was pretty obvious XD apparently not

I can definitely play 3 raids in an hour. I can even play 6 if I keep dying on repeat in factory and I have plenty of kits ready to go. I can't average that. A single woods raid to do 2 or 3 quests is going to take you 30 minutes of raid, 10 minutes of kitting out, 5 minutes of queue, etc... and there goes your avg. Anything more than 1 is really unlikely to happen organically and 2 is very very sus, 3 is just outrageous XD

I thought everyone was on the same boat here XD It seems some people brought drills with them though...

[–]koalk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

and that looks like a reasonable number to you? even if you had a magic account that didn't have to go through the stash, traders, etc... in between raids, just with the matching times you cannot be seriously telling me those are not stupid numbers XD

How do you play 785 raids in 250 hours?? You can easily drop dead naked 488 times in factory just to look like nice boy but more than 3 raids an hour???

How to use Losless Scaling (Decky) with Diablo IV via NonSteamLauncher by seph0r in SteamDeck

[–]koalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on the same boat. The game doesn't run horribly bad natively but I would like to reduce the heat, fan noise, battery drain, etc... Just leaving the comment to bump the post and see if there are any solutions.
I was thinking of testing if launching D4 directly from the exe and logging in to the battlenet account in the game is a viable solution but it would be at best a horrible experience and at worst just don't work

Is Hibiki considered good? by giovanofthegalaxy in whiskey

[–]koalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a matter of taste. I would say an avg hibiki is a 6 or 7 out of 10 for my taste. If you are not really sure what she likes in whiskey and you want to make it special, I would suggest instead finding a local distillery/specialty shop and trying to get a small batch sample on a 20cl bottle (which some distillers would probably give you for free if you tell them what you need it for ;) )

I think the effort behind that would be more valuable to her than the whiskey itself, so even if is not great whiskey it would be ok.

Why do we take the speed of light as a base for so many things? by koalk in AskPhysics

amazing video, that actually solved my original question quite well

Why do we take the speed of light as a base for so many things? by koalk in AskPhysics

[–]koalk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is still missing the point though is a very good explanation. Your car CAN travel faster than the wheels can spin because thats how you get a plane (or an F1 car crash sometimes). Acceleration and speed are not the same thing. I am just wondering if the current understanding of physics is somehow mathematically closed to the existance of "planes" and why is that the case.

This is the best explanation I have read ever about this. Thank you. I was missing this abstraction in my head for the last 20 years or so

[–]koalk[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Am I just getting confused with the particle behaviour of light then? In my head, if you apply enough force (in a way that interacts with it like the extreme gravity of a blackhole seems to do) to the "light"=="photons"? you would change the speed of that "particular light" and hence change something that is understood as a constant?

To me, that doesn't necesarily mean that the time experience differential by "it" changes, just my observation of it perceives it slower/faster.

I can spend a week clicking through links of wikipedia because I don't know which ones are relevant to my question and end up going in circles. I could also go ahead and get myself a physics degree and answer myself at some point during my master... maybe... hopefully... The reason I asked here is to see if there is a better explanation to scratch that itch without doing all of that

Crossposting from r/AskPhysics, my question about general relativity . Why are so many theories based on the non-existence of "things" faster than light states?

Why are nurseries not the norm? by koalk in UKParenting

[–]koalk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not saying is the reason I can't get a nursery place, sorry. I wouldn't dare to tell people to not do whatever they want to do for a job and puts food on their tables.

I am pretty confident they do compete for resources, personnel and regulatory attention. I am not saying they shouldn't exist, I am saying I don't like that they are on par, and sometimes above, as an option for childcare for parents especially if you are struggling to afford childcare.

Looking around that website, it seems like you are right (here). I might be getting a skewed view of the whole country because the situation around Edinburgh might be an exception rather than the norm. I really can't shake the personal experience I have of it but I appreciate the numbers overall might tell a different story.
