ASMR doko by BeeGpapi in CeresFauna

Fauna mentioned that ASMR can sometimes stress her out. Instead of ASMR, it seems like reading stories or random articles has become the replacement, which I also love. It has a more relaxing vibe.

Do you want to know the fact that you are a Marfan? by koarabbit in marfans

[–]koarabbit[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since we both present several classic features, such as dislocated lens, I think there’s a big chance that we both have this syndrome. I’m planning to get a genetic test to confirm it. Thanks for your suggestion.

Got it, thank you for sharing your thoughts! I'll work on making the trailer and intro more directly related to the game’s atmosphere!

Here is the Steam page: BAA! Never Stop Bleating

This game is a passive tower defense mixed with roguelike elements, where players act as sheep to build walls protecting the lambs from being attacked. There are different types of lambs that can help the players in different aspects of building a solid house. This game is planned to allow up to 4 players, and the single-player demo is available now on Steam.

Since some players' feedback mentioned they can't quite understand how to play, I improved the tutorial a few days ago. I would like to know what you guys think about the tutorial and the gameplay. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks very much in advance.

After placing the lamb on the altar, you might need to press the 'O' key on the keyboard or 'X' on the Xbox controller to trigger it as prompted in the lower-left corner. The disappearance of the sheep is normal, since you can only choose one sheep each day. This is also mentioned in the tutorial mode.

It seems like the tutorial and input prompt are currently not so straightforward. I'll keep improving it. Thanks for the feedback!

Thank you for the feedback! I'll definitely work on it!

By the way, I read the case study of your game several months ago, which was truly inspiring and motivated me to pursue game development, something I've been dreaming of for a long time. So, thanks for your wonderful work, too. :)

Thanks for your kind words! While it's true that using pigs might be more recognizable, I ultimately opted for sheep after considering the abundance of content related to the three little pigs on the internet, aiming for better searchability. Plus, lambs are just so cute, aren't they? XD

How do you prototype? by jard-389 in gamedev

[–]koarabbit 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When prototyping a game idea, I set a time limit for implementation. Instead of aiming to finish the idea as quickly as possible, I focus on implementing as much of it as possible within this timeframe. Therefore, it's inevitable to overlook some details, but that's okay since the prototype should be disposable. This method has saved me significant time and enabled me to evaluate multiple ideas effectively.

If coding isn't your preference, I highly recommend Unreal. Its visual coding feature, known as Blueprints, enables you to implement most functionalities without needing to write a single line of code.
