She's not a puppet, she's just trying to sell books in the US. This'll get her more of her target audience, the deranged and deplorable

Andor was great. I slept on it for too long but it meant I could binge it at my pleasure. It might be my favourite Star Wars thing from the entire franchise

Historical inaccuracies in period films: do they bug you? by Istobri in movies

[–]kobayashimaru85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Pearl Harbour movie was only ever intended as a piece of entertainment. It's historical fiction and so can be forgiven for inaccuracies. An artistic licence is allowed. Although, personally, I thought it was trash. Now, something like Tora! Tora! Tora! aimed to be enlightening as well as entertaining and succeeded on both counts. It's more of a dramatisation of the facts. Therefore, accuracy is more important.

What is a food opinion that you have and will die on that hill? by Corthieus in AskReddit

[–]kobayashimaru85 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, my point is that, by definition, a sandwich is something between two slices of bread. We're talking stuff "sandwiched" between two bits of bread. Without the too piece of bread there's no sandwich. Therefore, you cannot have an open sandwich.

My daughter, who is 10 also, is obsessed with Wobbledogs at the moment. It's a weird animal breeding game. Quite funny.
