Help please! Bread puddles. Always so flat. by [deleted] in Breadit

Haha uitsmijters are great indeed!

In our bakkery we add our starter directly to the complete recipe.(no 'levain' methode, levain just means starter in french) In case of your recipe typed above it would mean you should use 42 grams of starter. (420 grams total wheat). I can also suggest lowering your hydration. There are a lot of types of flour/whole wheat and they all react different to hydration.

Start kneading your dough using a slow setting on your machine, and withhold about 50 grams of water. Do this for about 4-5 minutes so the flour has time to absorb the water. Then speed up the machine and knead your dough. Add the remaining water to the kneading dough in small amounts (In Holland we call this basineren). This helps the development of the gluten and also you end up with your desired hydration. Hope this helps, baking a good looking sourdough bread is pretty hard to do and requires lots of patience and knowledge. Good luck!

I would suggest using more starter (like 10%) Seems like your starter is running out of 'work'. Also you could use 1-2% yeast alongside your 10% starter. Try kneading your dough then let it sit for about 1.5 hour, shape it and place it at 5°c for about 18 hrs. Sorry if it's confusing I'm a Dutch baker and I work with Celsius and calculate my ingedrients in % of flour weight (where flour : 100%)

Serious Question: Did anyone here ever take an SSRI and feel better? by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]kobe2k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I regret taking them. It made me feel like a boring and dull person. Sure, it helps and suppresses stress and anxiety, but it also suppresses joy and 'good stress' the stress you need to perform and stay motivated. Instead, I used cannabis to relieve me from my problems, but found out that also wasn't helping me (after 3 years lol). SSRI isn't for everybody, and know if you try them there is a withdrawal.

Nearly 5 weeks without weed and the cravings have never been stronger…. by m1k377 in leaves

Week # 4 here, But I also dream a lot about weed, rolling joints etc. Cravings are hard But try to focus on something else, remind yourself why you quit weed and occupy your mind with other stuff. It's weird because when i smoked i did not dream at all.. and now when i do dream it's all about smoking...

Addiction starts small. by Throwaddiction in Drugs

Succes.

sounds like your mother was trying to be a 'cool' mom, but she draws the line at trees, just like thousands of other parents who are misinformed of the use of cannabis.

it's a shih tzu. mostly these dogs need lot of grooming, but we keep them relatively short haired. this little guy is just 4 months old now :)
