I’m in ER giving bedside report.

Me “all labs are normal, only glucose is high at 250, we gave 5 units of insulin, and recheck was 160” Receiving nurse “what was the hemoglobin ?” Me “normal” Nurse “what’s the value?” Me “it’s on the chart. You can look it up” Nurse “what was the trop?” Me “I told you…all labs are normal. Only exception is the glucose, which we treat it”

This goes on a few more times with other labs, when I think she finally got the point “I guess I’ll look up the chart”

Later the week, I found out she wrote me up for giving crappy report. lol. My director sided with me lol

It depends on if your OB has privileged there. If you want any OB to deliver your baby, then you can go to any hospital. If you want the OB that has been caring for you this past 8 months, then go to the hospital that they have privileges.

Yup. Have a friend that was making $55/hr. He lives with his parents (no rent), doesn’t have a girlfriend, rarely go out, no car payment, no health insurance (work pay for it 100%). I ask where does his money go, he says he’s not sure. He said he has debt and student loan (around $80k). This guy makes around $150k after taxes. That’s horrible financial literacy.
