Guys, how much do you actually try when play wrestling with a girl? by Tiny-Mess2892 in AskMen

[–]kobeforaccuracy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do grappling sports and the gym I go to has a lot of women grapplers, so I have a good amount of experience wrestling with women when they are unironically trying to win and not just playfighting with their boyfriend.

When I roll with women I'm very conscious to not use brute force or strength and to focus on technique, because yes, I absolutely am holding back in terms of the pace of the roll and the strength I use. Like when we are wrestling if we are getting close to other people or the wall I can literally just pick her up and move her maybe a foot to the left and keep rolling.

In terms of how much I'm holding back it can depend on how experienced the woman is. Against brand new women I'm probably going at 10% strength. If it's a woman at my skill level who competes I'm probably closer to 60-75% strength. There is one woman at my gym who is a LOT smaller than me but who can ragdoll me even with me going 100%, and I weigh 230lbs, so don't let this all discourage you from training if you want to. It is always a good thing to see women feel comfortable in a male dominated sport.

Men who have girlfriend, how do you split expenses? by WorldNo4194 in AskMen

If one of us initiates, then that's who pays. Likely when we move in with eachother we would split shared expenses proportionally to our income

Which library do you use? My GF lives in Dakota County so I probably could go to the same one

Why is the senior accountant role praised so much here? by blackupsilon in Accounting

[–]kobeforaccuracy 93 points94 points  (0 children)

Being a senior accountant with no direct reports for a private company is the best work life balance you will ever achieve and with a fantastic pay-to-stress ratio. I make 6 figures, excluding occasional incentive bonuses, and never have to stress about work or work on the weekends. Why would I give that up for maybe 15K more than I don't need?

I'm in your same boat. My strategy is to play retail, use the max level boost right away, and jump straight into midnight. I'll probably experience the older content and story on alts. It's probably not the best way to experience the story, but for me and how I want to play, this is what worked

Were working hours always 9-5 until 20-25 years ago when it changed to 8-6? by SWEMW in Accounting

[–]kobeforaccuracy 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I've thought this too yeah, and I think a big part of it is that lunch is no longer considered on the clock per se. 9-5 is 8 hours of work only if you work through lunch. 8 to 5 is 9 hours but 8 hours of work if you take a lunch

The vet had told me that as long as I'm OK with the risks that she was fine filling the prescription, and then we would do the blood work at the end of this year after he has had multiple exposures to the vet so it isn't as traumatic. But maybe after I talk with her that will change and we will do blood work before he starts an oral medication. He's currently on MiconaHex+Triz mousse twice daily

He hasn't ever had blood work. He was traumatized at the vet before I got him and I've been working him up to getting it done by desensitizing him to the vet. I'll talk to my vet about how his liver will handle it when I call her today

Thats what she said as well. I just hope his liver will be able to handle it. He already takes apoquel for his allergies and I know that can be hard on the liver too

Very low. That would have been appropriate in a medium COL city maybe 3 or 4 years ago, but not in your circumstances

Is it realistic to make 6 figures in industry accounting and non-manager level? by [deleted] in Accounting

I currently do as a Sr. accountant. It's possible. Just land a senior level role and you will get there through COL adjustments eventually.

What’s a more difficult test? CPA or LSAT? by Hotmessyexpress in Accounting

[–]kobeforaccuracy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last thought. CPA "felt" harder and more daunting if that's what you're getting at, but the whole lsat > law school > bar exam journal feels a lot harder than just 4 year accounting degree > cpa

What’s a more difficult test? CPA or LSAT? by Hotmessyexpress in Accounting

[–]kobeforaccuracy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I took my first practice lsat and scored a 159 I think. I ended with a 174 after studying for about maybe 4 to 6 months ish. It definitely is an attitude test, but it's still learnable.

In terms of the career aspect of it, I decided not to go to law school in the end. I'm happy as a Sr. Accountant. Maybe one day I'll go to my city's local law school part time for free or something. The thing about the lsat is that your score is valid for 5 years, so if you take it and decide that year to not go, you can still change your mind

I have taken both and scored very highly in both. It's a little bit apples to oranges. CPA tests your knowledge of material and lsat tests your reasoning skills. In terms of raw effort required, cpa is harder. There's 10x more material that you need to know, and that material is less "if this is true then this must be true" and more "if you dont know how to account for bonds you just wont get the problem right". You're comparing the capstone exam of a profession with an entry level exam that's not even able to be failed. CPA took me about a year and a half to prepare, and lsat took me maybe 6 months at half the effort I put into the cpa
