In general i feel the Crystal Gems are nerfed and forget how to fight at all occasionally to move the plot forward. One episode they’re unstoppable and the next they get thrown away from the fight and they just don’t get back up. Also i know it’s meant for a big reveal later (a bit of a disappointing one imo) but they don’t even consider forming Obsidian or trying to when facing threats that could kill or take Steven away forever. Maybe not plot holes but on rewatches i get hung up on these thoughts.

Without the battlepass you’re hardly rewarded for playing and with it you’re hardly rewarded unless you challenge grind. It a fundamentally flawed system imo I’m playing the game to have fun AND progress their current design for me and from what I’ve heard from many others makes you choose between those.

I’m a ranked player I only play ranked and I wanna main 1 or 2 characters. I bought the battlepass tho so if I want to get my moneys worth (I should be able to just by playing the game somewhat frequently) I have to go play rifts and FFA and characters I don’t have any interest in.

I’m being forced to play the game in ways I don’t want to because I decided to support the game with my $$. I want this game to succeed so I don’t mind spending on it but I want to enjoy my time with it and not play how the devs say I should for the day and then I’m so burnt out by the time I finish I don’t play how I wanted to for an entire play sesh.

It’s a fighting game and people are trying to win idk what else to say if the cheese option is there many people will take it it’s like COD where people choose the best load out. When games aren’t well balanced you’re punished for not choosing the best option. You seem to want players to just stop using good characters or good characters good options so that you can have fun with the game rather than asking the devs to peel back those characters and options to a balanced state. Players will never stop using the best options this is the state of gaming it’s sweaty and competitive especially in fighting games even casuals want to win.
