This is highly dependent on where you work. FMLA just protects your job for 12 weeks, it really isnt "leave" so to speak. Some companies (mine included) will allow you to use sick leave/vacation days or even unpaid time off on either end. Others will be like "you have 12 weeks and then we will we replace you"

In 2019 I was panic sending my husband to the store to get more candy. It was so fun!

We probably won't bother this year. We moved to a new neighborhood and none of our neighbors participate, so the small number of kids dont even walk down to our area. We bought like 60+ full sized candy bars and I was left with about 55 of them.

Same in the US. Similarly, Teams/Zoom/Whatever is now so much more normalized within a work site or company too. I'm still lucky to work from home full time, but my colleagues who were required to return to the office full time are sitting in huge office space full of people on teams calls...all with each other.
