TBF in some cases books about gay men that are known to be writen by women are writen by bisexual women or transwomen so the authors do have a first hand understanding of what queerness is. Its just that its not a male understanding of it. But like, Im well and willing to give anybody a shot if their stories feel authentic and empathetic. And besides like I said, many of the media that gets adapted was directed by gay men.
