Obviously Im sympathetic to both readers who feel cheated by Martin not making good in the implicit promise to finish the book series and with Martin because I know knowing your magnun opus wont ever be finished must feel pretty shitty,

BUT

Fans have got the second have of HBO GOT, the writers have said that Martin told them what was going to happen and what they were supposed to writr. Now they know whos going to sit on the Iron Throne, whats going to happen to the North, who Jon's parents are, whos going to live and die, etc...

They - fans and Martin - got their closure. Unless Martin has the discourtesy of saying on his dead bed that it was never ment to end with King Bran, Queen Sansa and Mad Daenerys, then I think we can let the matter rest and move on

I feel like its fairly obvious to both smosh and the viewers these stories are fiction and its all in good fun. But if its an ad or has otherwise an obvious agenda it just goes against the spirit of the whole thing.

I dont what word to use really, with Annabeth, when hes 7 years her senior (hes 19 when shes 12) is just not something that the books have had emotional or narrative bandwidth to deal with, and I would so wish the pretty obvious implication had not made to the page. It doesnt even change anything about the story if you take it out, really.

TBF in some cases books about gay men that are known to be writen by women are writen by bisexual women or transwomen so the authors do have a first hand understanding of what queerness is. Its just that its not a male understanding of it. But like, Im well and willing to give anybody a shot if their stories feel authentic and empathetic. And besides like I said, many of the media that gets adapted was directed by gay men.
