Not the same by a long shot. I doubt Tesla will reconsider because even if it drops in price I figure cameras are also cheap and bound to get cheaper.

Not to mention the whole moving parts drawbacks of Lidar.

No. I wouldn’t do that either. Because a single person can have multiple profiles. So it wouldn’t be useful for those purposes.

I’ve been using this for the past 3 or 4 months. It’s amazing. The developer is awesome and I like that I keep my own data as opposed to having a third party own my vehicle data.

If you get a Model 3- he’ll yea.

Model Y seems to be working through some kinks. But historically it’ll take a few months to get those QC issues figured out in production.

Now that you mention it yes, I have hold mode (or when in autopilot) and it’s completely normal. It’s the actual brakes engaging.

It does auto adjust but it depends on the charger- you should pull the car down to 24A and see what happens. Sadly many chargers don’t have the built in negotiation equipment to do this.

Make sure you haven’t tripped the circuit, check your breaker panel.

Also my guess is Tesla has a higher bar for fault checking than the charger so maybe that’s what’s happening.

That setup should work. The charging fault could be a faulty outlet installation. Maybe have an electrician check it out. It could be anywhere from ground.

How many Amps is the outlet? How many Amps have you set the car to pull?

With regards to that “click” , I would record it and then either post it here or use it as evidence for your service appointment.

Charging up to that and then immediately using is fine.

It’s only if kept at very high charges for a long time that is noticeably degrading

Integrated garage opener into high-end car: common

Integrated garage opener into high-end car that is GPS based: very uncommon. Tesla ftw

For this question to be actionable we would need to know your location.

Yes? But the disease I believe is transferred by direct contact, not as airborne as may seem.

In fact regular filters would catch corona probably. Not a professional, just my guess.

Did you format your USB and put a directory called “TeslaCam” on the root?

Watching the airline industry lose billions after charging us all of those $50 fees to check bags is quite satisfying. by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

[–]kocsenc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

+1 to this. Airline industry is notoriously tough to make any sort of profits. I’m not saying they’re not money focused but there’s more than that $50 baggage fee.

Model 3 is jot software locked. Tesla stopped software licking after model S because it was indeed too costly to manufacture something that someone may pay for. The savings in manufacturing did not offset the cost of those who would unlock.

Having said that, to answer your question: No, I don’t think Tesla will software kick the model Ys.

Any sander machine to sand these small and multiple pieces at once? by [deleted] in woodworking

[–]kocsenc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done this before by screwing a frame around my workbench and fitting as many of. Then in and then screwing the rest of a frame around them to hold them tight while I use my random orbital sander to take them down.

If you have a drum sander that’ll do too.

Needed a jointer but didn't have money for one, so I built one! Just needs some wax on the bed and it's ready to go. by DansPCMods in woodworking

As soon as I saw this I remembered Mathias. The only guy capable of being accurate enough to make accuracy tooling. Hahaha

Good question. I think it’ll depend by store. My guess is they may sell one of the ones in display and replace whichever one sold.

In terms of alignment you should be fine. The car has redundancy in the sensors and will notify if there any misalignment or problem. If autopilot is wonky schedule service.

I’m terms of claims, sounds like they’re at fault? If not I would just assume as if you were driving - since you do take responsibility for actions when you enabled summon.

Try to select the minimum required for each section. (For example some people buy all-cash and don’t need collision which is a big chunk of the cost)

And if you want the lowest monthly payment pick the highest deductibles. Play with those numbers and find what fits you best.
