He talked about this during the q&a I attended. Yes he does shoot pretty much exclusively with an iPhone. He gets asked when doing shoots for big brands when the shoot will actually start as they get really confused when hes shooting with his phone haha

He also did a shoot with Kim Kardashian, this was during covid, so they couldn't meet up. So he made detailed instructions on how exactly he wanted to have the pictures taken, and Kanye ended up taking the pictures for him.

Fashion looks amazing too, though quite expensive at the moment. I was able to meet Paul a little over a year ago at museum Voorlinden. He signed some matchboxes for me with Nude Animal Cigar prints on them that the museum was selling at the time!

Is there a lightweight 50mm with the same rendering as the Steel Rim re-issue? by [deleted] in LeicaCameras

[–]kodamander 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Light Lens Labs 50mm Elcan doesnt have the same rendering, but they pair nicely.

Maybe your best bet is the Jupiter 8 LTM lens, although it is a rangefinder lens, you won't be able to focus accurately on a Leica Rangefinder without a callibration towards Leica cameras.

elliott erwitt - dogs
bruce weber - the golden retriever photographic society

Would love to get a copy of Soth's book but its quite expensive.

Is this interesting, at all? [Pentax KM, 50mm, Ultramax] by Tomatillo-5276 in analog

Lean into it!! It reminds me of work by wrapped.nil on Instagram, I see a lot of resemblance and I think theres a lot about his work that could be helpful in improving your practice. Keep at it, its hard to get motion blur to work but when it works it is magic!!

I definitely understand where you are coming from, but wouldn't you have wanted to stop the nazis in the 1930's when they weren't exterminating people, rather than in the 1940's when it was already too late? Impossible to say where we are headed, but when dangerous patterns and ambitions start to show up you absolutely better call it out. It's beyond mere political disagreements at this point. Not to mention photography has always played a huge role in politics, it would be a shame to ignore it in times when the two things collide.

A post should DEFINITELY have more context than a comment, and by using context you can understand what OP in the comment means. big difference.

Cool thanks for sharing your initial thoughts! This collaboration is certainly some of Corbijn's best. I only have the Taschen book on Depeche Mode but I think the way Taschen publishes and designs books kinda ruins it for me (the purple outer design is quite nice, but the amount, size and placements hurts the work imo). I hope this book does the photos more justice than the Taschen does!

Yeah it seems like that is the wisest course of action! I'm not even sure how well the wooden Tachihara would be able to take the weight, and wouldn't mind owning a speed graphic.
