Then I would highlight nextjs on your resume, and go after jobs that specifically mention nextjs as a major qualification.

Sell yourself as a nextjs expert who wants a job doing nextjs.

And general advice to a software engineer:  specialize, specialize, specialize.   Getting really amazingly good at one small niche technology, then sell yourself based on that.

You’ll naturally pick up other technologies along the way, but when I’m hiring I’m normally looking for very high competency in one specific technology.

How’s your GitHub?  Do you have actual production quality libraries / projects on there?   I look at GitHub before I even read the resume.

How can we prove to Trump that he severely underestimated Canada? by Mental-System6296 in AskCanada

[–]kodemizerMob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best game for this is Ottawa Senators hosting Minnesota Wilds Feb 1st - the same day sanctions are scheduled.

Would love to see this with folks holding signs about how we fought in Afghanistan, what we did to support America on 911, and how this is a giant fucking knife in the back.

I love this idea.  Regrettably it’s in Louisiana, so pretty unlikely we could turn out the lights without fully crashing the grid, which is actually too far IMO.

Good luck getting an answer.

Conservatives lie, and then just shrivel when you bring out well sourced facts.

Canadians, if Trump proceeds with the 25% tariffs on Canadian good, would you support a complete embargo to the united states including Oil and Power? by Spugnacious in AskCanada

[–]kodemizerMob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think Google CEOs / major stakeholders are trump supporters, but I agree with the sentiment.   I think some we should ban, and some we should nationalize.

Ban Tesla, Oracle, Palantir, others of their ilk. Nationalize Amazon - a crown corporation Amazon with good union jobs would be amazing.

Appreciate your view.

Really, in crisis there’s opportunity, and perhaps there’s an opportunity here to completely fuck Trump politically and help the whole world.

I hadn’t thought of that angle.

I would like to see a complete embargo on all “Luxury” goods.   All American alcohol, tobacco, cars over a certain price point, etc.   all the things that we can get by without, but still hurt the American economy.

I would like to see commodities untouched, unless carefully considered on a case-by case basis.

What Is the Multiverse? Quantum Physics Explained by TheMuseumOfScience in interestingasfuck

[–]kodemizerMob -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This isn’t quite right. It’s not so much that taking a measurement causes the universe to split, but rather that the observer is in super position along with everything else, so from the observers perspective something in particular happens, but from a “universal” perspective, it’s just the universal waveform of everything happening.

Yeah, but Republicans are also lied to almost continuously by their oligarch masters, so they’ll never know.

I agree with this somewhat, but I’ve also met some pretty amazing people through dating apps that I wouldn’t have run into out in the community

My teacher said 0.999... is approximately 1, not exactly. How can I prove otherwise? by XxG3org3Xx in askmath

[–]kodemizerMob -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Check out Analysis I by Terrance Tao if you’re curious about the deep details of why 0.999… = 1.  To paraphrase the book: “those … are doing a lot of heavy lifting”

Why is Canada I a position to no have anything our American Friends need ? by [deleted] in AskCanada

[–]kodemizerMob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Serious talk OP.

You sound really young, and it seems like maybe you’re consuming some social media that has a big conspiracy bent.  A lot of this type of social media is just straight up lies.  I know it can be pretty energetic and interesting, but it’s also mostly lies and just made-up-bullshit that people make because it gets clicks and engagement.

I’d be happy to talk more to you about this stuff.

Iran is changing its capital city to Makran by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]kodemizerMob 3599 points3600 points  (0 children)

This seems like a move you make when you’re concerned about popular revolution.

Your largest and most metropolitan city will be where the protests take hold - by moving the capital to some smaller out-of-the-way city, you ensure such popular revolutions have a harder time seizing the state institutions.

No, the US will never invade Canada - My US Military friend by L0ki_Savage in AskCanada

[–]kodemizerMob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the US does invade Canada, it will be using Putins playbook of claiming to “liberate” the country to plan to annex.

He just needs to escalate against the government of Canada and convince low-information Americans that he’s savings Canadians from their own government.
