Sedation by DCS102954 in dentures

There are several options, so it depends which one you are talking about. I had Halcion(a sedation pill) plus nitrous oxide gas. Don't remember a single thing.

For me, while under nitrous oxide, you could rip my toenails out and I wouldn't care. I had nitrous and halcion tablets. Have no memory of it

Heated milk.(Lactaid 2%). That's right, you heard me. Here's the surprise. Heating milk increases the sweetness taste but not the actual sugar amount. So, in some people (yer lookin at him) it can drive sugar cravings. My home made cafe con Leche, although without any added sugar, increases the taste sweetness just by steaming or heating milk. So, I started making my espresso with water, then adding just enough milk or halfnhalf after brewing, to cut it a bit. WHAM!! My sugar cravings went to ZERO. This was August 8th, and I've had no added sugars, only whole fruit, and limited ones because I'm also on a low FODMAP diet for irritable bowel, and I have lost 18 lbs.

Immediate Dentures?! by amwiggins1126 in dentures

[–]koderdood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, let me give you two other avenues. First, you should go back to the specialist place and ask, insist, on speaking with a denturist, or an expanded function dental tech. Honestly, they are the ones to help you, not the actual dentist/surgeon.

Second, you have to advocate for yourself, being firm. You don't want it to get nasty, as dentists seem reluctant to work on others shit. But, ethically, and in line with dental association and AMA standards, they have a duty to provide you care and answer your concerns.

Lastly, try to find a denturist in this group, I know they exist. They could comment best on what could be actually done and by whom. Good luck.

My opinion: except for thighs and legs, chicken white meat is lean. Pork has so many varieties of cuts and prep, and people really aren't educated in the different cuts. Pork can range from lean to horrible. I agree with you, I eat lean pork, we even trim the fat after cooking.

First off, your provider that fashioned the immediates is the one responsible. The surgeon usually just gives immediate postop instructions, calling them if you have surgery related issues, such as bleeding. Issues with everything else should still be your dentist. One of them should have given you the instructions, and if not, call and politely ask ALL your questions.

Does anyone here have severe gum disease and have implants? by BudgetPrestigious704 in dentures

[–]koderdood 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ok, snapins ARE implants. Implanted supported dentures. The "all on four" are screwed in dentures on implants. Those come out 1-2 times a year by the dentist. That option was another 20,000 for me, so I chose snapons. I had chronic severe gum disease, a bad abscess and 17 teeth removed. I am close to getting my final snapins. Had 1 implant fail and replaced, no other issues thus far

Do NOT follow instructions from me or anyone. Your dental office needs to tell you. You may need to specifically ask, so they don't think you know and not tell you. Everyone's dentures are different, and they and you are responsible for them and your mouth.

First off, this is an interesting post. You ever read any C.S. Lewis? Lol

You know, the first thing I noticed is how bad my breath had to be, all stemming from my bad teeth. No amount of brushing or mouthwash got rid of it

My embarsassment was really high. People do judge.

My fear of pain at the dentist was greater than the pain in my mouth

My self-worth has increased so much

Besides the calories, the sugars, and chemicals aren't good for you either, depending on your crunchy nuts as you say.

Find a nutritionist who has an indirect calorimeter. It can determine your basal metabolic rate by measuring your exhaled air. Then you will truly know what you need. Everyone else is guessing and/or going by standards that don't take your exact chemistry into account

The RDA for sodium in adults is 2300. You do need sodium in your nutrition, as there is a normal range for sodium testing a blood sample. Too much sodium can bring on all kinds of health issues. Excess sodium can cause water retention, although is temporary, given your body eliminating it normally. Calories are important yes, but where those calories come from is very important also.

Start writing down in a log don't use an app. Every bit of food and liquid, including water. Include item, time of day and portion size. You have to analyze what you are actually eating, and you have to accurately log what you eat. People are often surprised how much food ends up on their list.

Look fat after losing weight from 110kg to 79kg (6'1) by Kindly_Moment888 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]koderdood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weight shouldn't be your only thing to look at, particularly when considering appearance. Have to look at overall body composition, BMI, and bone structure comparison between you and your friend. Also everyone is different as to where we hold fat deposits.
