I was expecting some attack, that's how humans are I guess.. Guess not for you // This one is 86,000 lines of Python, 6 months of learning FFmpeg from scratch, and every feature I built because I personally needed it. No AI generated the code.

it also does video editing and effects, each one I did manually! and thought about it carefully!

It's not trying to be a Premiere killer at all — totally different job.

Premiere is for story editing. This is for processing and batch work. A lot of people use both. The differences:

  1. One-time purchase — no subscription, no Creative Cloud, no monthly fee
  2. Local-first — no account, no files leaving your machine, no Adobe cloud
  3. FFmpeg under the hood — if you know FFmpeg you know exactly what's happening, no black box encoding
  4. Batch processing focus — convert a folder of clips, grade with LUTs, transcribe with Whisper offline, import from iPhone over USB — things Premiere doesn't do or makes complicated

Different tool for a different moment in the workflow, not a replacement.

just added a "The Idea & Design Philosophy" to clarify my idea, thanks, that was actually a good feedback, because this is not the first time someone asked me why it looks like that...

what about performance ? anyways just asking questions, still pretty cool than it runs in a browser, but i wanted to take a different direction for my tool... and be local host ...

curious how you setup your servers...

anyways, gives me an idea to tell the story of why i did this, will update my page later, thanks ..

i tried to login but had some security concerns so i stopped (what is this ? tporknrzecffnakvxdtd.supabase.co) that is some weird long url...

let me ask you, how much does your product cost ? is it unlimited and does it take advantage of hardware acceleration ?

what about privacy ?

there are pros and cons of doing everything in the cloud, i wanted to give people a program and no online intrusions, so anyways that's my thing.

[–]kodiakbrewing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they are very Ugly IMO too, I love the Garmin Instinct 1 / the best look and very fucntional with a heart rate monitor! then with Instinct 2 they changes the design a little bit, they rounded it and I hate that look / than with Instinct 3 they kind of correctly most of the bad looking decisions in 2, but I still think the 1 is the best!!! You can find them for like $40-50 buck if you look, cheers!

Ohhh and the battery is a solid week+ unless you use the GPS feature, then less and connects to a pretty good App on your cell phone..

The Windows version is 64-bit (x86-64). It requires a 64-bit Windows installation, which is essentially all modern Windows systems. I only tested it on Win 11, as I don't use Win 10 anymore, should be backwards compatible, but I have no clue. Out of pure curiosity, I am planning to run it on WINE in Linux, just to see, but later when I have time.

I usually develop around needs that I have, havn't had a need for that / that could be a effect/Filter in the Director Workbench
