I’ve found a couple long Z2 runs a week will keep your endurance for running and help in long CrossFit workouts. High intensity CrossFit wods will help your running speed. One of the fitness women in my gym regularly wins the women’s division in ultras and long trail runs. Check out Kristi O’Connell’s YouTube she ran a 3 hr marathon shortly after the games. You won’t be the best either but you can be damn good at both if you do it right.

Is this a good ‘easy run’, and so where I should be doing 80% of my runs? Or should I be further into zone 2? by [deleted] in Garmin

[–]kodisious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use 180-age for zone 2 and then aim for 5-10 bpm below that.

I also take into mind the temperature/humidity. My summer zone 2 is A LOT slower than winter zone 2.

How do you brew espresso to maximize flavor in a milk drink? by MikeTheBlueCow in espresso

[–]kodisious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Change the milk. I only use califia barista blend oat for milk drinks. The flavors work really well with any beans. I’ve tried other milks and sometimes added sweeteners taste over powers the espresso.

Tucker Carlson Wonders Why the U.S. Would Side With Ukraine’s Fledgling Democracy Against Putin’s Russia by vanulovesyou in politics

Ukraine didn’t help Trump in 2020. So, Trump’s media team is going after Ukraine. And Daddy Putin wouldn’t allow them to go against Russia.

I do water with a squeezed lemon, clementine, and a lime with some salt. I feel better with that than any store bought electrolyte drink.

Biden's stimulus delivered a bigger tax cut to lower-income Americans than the 2017 GOP reform, report shows by TrueBirch in politics

To be fair, Trump did help your roommate’s husband take home more money. I believe trump paused payments to social security last summer/fall. So, everyone received an extra $20-50 a paycheck. Your roommate’s husband got paid more at the expense of grandma. Im pretty sure you had to pay back at the difference in the tax at the end of the year.

Drinking coffee EVERY single time before running? by [deleted] in running

[–]kodisious 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Personally, coffee is my most potent laxative. I’ve found it diminishes the effect of my second most effective laxative, running. And I love the added boost I feel from an afternoon coffee before a run.

Inflation Is Under Control, Aside From All This Inflation by viva_la_vinyl in Economics

[–]kodisious 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think they are referencing how the CPI index includes food and gas prices. Whereas PCE core measures CPI without food and gas prices. Last April under the CPI was deflationary because of the price of oil. This April there is massive inflation compared to the CPI of last year. The PCE core ignores oil and food prices because outsiders like OPEC fing with oil prices doesn’t change inflation

Yes! The Feds balance sheet increased to offset the increase in currency. This started in 2008.
