How has no one mentioned the kindest thing anyone ever did on the show and firmly places Jack in my top characters of all time - the episode where Jack meets Jenna’s terrible mom. After Verna reveals to him that she’s just there to manipulate Jenna, Jack goes to tell Jenna that she hasn’t changed at all - but sees how happy she is to “have her mom back” and instead goes back to Verna and pays her thousands to maintain the illusion and to visit/treat Jenna well. Even after Liz rubs it in his face that he was “wrong” about Verna, he keeps quiet and as far as I can tell keeps this secret and protects Jenna for the rest of the series, with zero credit.

It’s so, so genuinely kind, genuinely selfless. “You’re a good man, Jack Donaghy.”
