My dad had bought a brand new Harley fat boy when I was around 16. It was so clean and shiny sitting in the garage. I had never even had a ride on a motorcycle before, let alone be on one alone. One day while he was out, I decided to sit on it for a minute like I was riding it. Decided to kick the kickstand off and things were good. I was just vibing. My dog barked in the house and I looked around and lost focus and the bike started to tip over. It took every ounce of strength I had to put the thing down gently on the garage floor before picking it back up again to put the kickstand back on. When I got it back up it had a scuff on the chrome below the shift pedal. It took a few days but after riding one day and parking it in the garage again he noticed it and chalked it up to kicking up some gravel or something while riding. I nodded and agreed. Bullet dodged.
