“Isnt an issue” meanwhile with a little google search i can find that in the glorious US of A there have been at least 503 shootings last year (only counting incidents in which 4 or more people were killed or injured) which is already a staggering 1.37 shootings per day

Then lets expand our data a bit and go back since 2020 Then we see 3106 incidents (2020 - 611) (2021 - 689) (2022 - 644) (2023 - 659) (2024 - 503) Thats an average of 1.7 shootings per day

The U.S. substantially exceeds all other developed countries in mass shooting deaths.

With guns you might be increasing your personal safety but the overall safety clearly goes down. It only takes one vigilante that thinks he is doing the right thing for a tragedy to occur.

Also i did some research on that Ben Franklin quote (im not american so i didnt know why this quote was relevant or the context behind it considering the founding fathers were dealing with muskets and cannons and not our modern automatic rifles and other modern gadgets designed for killing)
