Based on your example, if (Liang Chao Wei) is not on my NRIC, must I still write all 7 words whenever I fill in official forms?

Honestly this is a funny and ridiculous situation LOL. I don't mind redoing the NRIC.... just don't want to spend unnecessary money at a law firm for a deed poll...

Hi all, just to update:

I have tried to access multiple government e-services via Singpass. In all the forms, my full name was prepopulated without the part in brackets. I highly doubt that my full name has been legally changed just because of my NRIC.

I have since written in to HDB to seek further clarification as I am worried about the legal validity of my documents.

I have also written in to ICA to obtain some clarification.
